Service great but venison was served luke warm and tart was rather tasteless. Serves are really small even to share between two. Not value for money.

Absolutely exquisite. My husband found this restaurant after a google search. The ambience, food and service were superb.
We were absolutely blown away by our meal, the whole experience was amazing from start to finish. Every single dish was outstanding, and the chef came out to chat with us a few times which we really enjoyed. We couldn’t even choose a favourite dish...as they were all so good. The staff here are wonderful, friendly and and very attentive. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!More
The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. Excellent cocktails mixed by fabulous bar staff. Or waiter Lachy was well versed on every dish and more than happy to answer any questions we had about the ingredients. Definitely one of my new favourite restaurants.
Attentive service from friendly knowledgeable staff ease you into a memorable tasting experience as you work through the diverse menu of sharing plates.
The food was by far the best we had while staying in Queenstown. Loved the concept behind the menu and the service was amazing. Would/will recommend this restaurant to everyone.
We were lucky enough to dine here when the restaurant opened again on 28 July. It was our last night in Queenstown and it was a great meal to go out on! We dined at all the top restaurants; Rata, Botswana Butchery and Amisfield, etc...but were really blown away with the food here; enjoying every bite! Had Manuka salmon terrine, beautifully presented, fish pan roasted with fish roe and saffron potato glass, whole roasted pumpkin with pumpkin umami soup, chilli spiced dukkah and black garlic and rhubarb apple pie with calvados flambe. Right next to the Spire Hotel where we stayed and a must visit when in Queenstown!More
Went to No 5 last year (loved it!) and decided to go back to check out their new menu. We knew it was going to be good but were both blown away by what the team has created. Service was great, knowledgeable, and passionate, it...really felt like the team works so well together and is so proud to carry what the chefs are creating onto the guests. Chris and his colleague were attentive and had great recommendation when it came to wines. The food was simply unique, we had the artichoke and crayfish tail to start, both executed perfectly. Then had the venison and duck and that was just out of this world!! The duck curry was so good, presented so well and full of flavours. Didn't have any room left for desserts! I cannot recommend this place enough, I will be sending people this way with full confidence that the service and food will be spot on. Thanks again for a great evening, and can't wait to come back soon.More
We had dinner here last night and we had the best night! The whole experience was amazing, from the staff to the food and the atmosphere. Every single dish we had was delicious, we couldn’t even choose a favourite! The staff were so helpful and...chatted to us about each dish, explained that their philosophy is to use all parts of food items to reduce waste, and to source everything as local as possible. This is now a few favourite in Queenstown, we will definitely be back!More
My husband and I went for dinner at No 5 last night and it was incredible. The food was to die for and the service some of the best we have had. A must visit when you are in Queenstown
My friends and I picked No.5 as we wanted something fancy yet had options as most of us are GF and I am vegan! Wow. Just wow! The service was impeccable, helpful and kind. The fact that the chef came out and explained every part...of the dish was bloody awesome and very cool. The food was insane and the desserts blow our minds. Thank you for such an incredible evening lads, all of us will be back!!More
We went for the first time to no5 and it was and an unforgettable experience. Since the moment that we arrived the lights and music embraced us to start this wonderful trip to nz roots. While we were waiting for our food they'd bring to...the table sourdough bread made with local beer and crayfish butter, everything made by the chefs with the concept of no wasting, we really appreciate the detail. For the starters we had first the Jerusalem artichokes with a sweet salty Buffalo curd that it was delicious, the Manuka honey surprised us in this dish. Then the salmon terrine, I don't have words to describe it but we loved it! And we finish with the kura-yaki (crayfish dumplings) that again was something special. For the main courses we had the venison, and the duck that with the the carrots from Garston and the kumara bread was a little piece of heaven, we didn't try the dessert just because we were in a rush, so we will come back again because so far is the best place that we've been having dinner in Queenstown, thank you to the amazing team Thibault and Chris for taking care of us and to Trent and the rest of the Chef's for the amazing food!!More
We were so excited to hear that no5 was reopening so booked in as soon as we could. The first course was kura-yaki (crayfish dumplings) looks amazing and tasted unbelievably good. The perfect starter. With that we had the salmon terrine which was presented in...smoke globe for a bit of theater. For our second course we had the Jerusalem artichokes with a sweet salty Buffalo curd - this was a surprising hit for all of us as we didn’t expect it to be so flavorful and complex. We also had the Peru Peru gnocchi. Which was amazing and vibrant. Followed by duck, the best carrots ever eaten and the kumara bread. So much food and every dish was on point! Finally dessert… flaming apple pie! Best meal in Queenstown and sure is going to give Amisfield a run for their money.More
5 courses for $60 great value all explained by the chef himself, the setting is beautiful with very attentive staff etc.
The food was spot on and service was lovely. The chef himself serves and explains many of the dishes.
