The food was spot on and service was lovely. The chef himself serves and explains many of the dishes.

We have been to many restaurants over the years, and cant remember having anything quite as good as the meal we had tonight at No. 5. The "trust the chef" concept is fun, the food is a delicious taste sensation, and having so many NZ...based ingredients was quite special. Well done chef and wait staff, 10 out of 10.More

Dinner on Friday night brought us to No 5 Church Lane and wow we were impressed! Whilst lock down meant there were few people in Queenstown we were given a super reception and a grand meal. Trusting the chef to choose your meal was a...little daunting but turned out to be an amazing delight. Beautiful food, great flavours and a good wine selection. A must for any visit. Bar staff very attentive and right on the mark for service. Thanks for a memorable experience.More

Had a great fully plant-based meal here. Plenty of choices and all a little adventurous and delicious. Black olive cannelloni and deep fried blossom were amazing. Friendly knowledgeable waitstaff and relaxed but professional service. Totally recommend.

If I could rate this place more than 5 I would. My husband and I dined here on Sunday and did the 'Trust the Chef' menu. Wow. This meal was outstanding. What an excellent culinary journey. Each dish left me more excited to see what...would be next. One of the best dining experiences I have had.More

I typically don’t write reviews but a restaurant who charges what they do and serves chick pea and Kumara for dessert needs a shout out as a visionary or completely out of touch (with a chef who’s got carried away with the needs of their...customers). My instinct is the latter and I wasn’t alone in this viewMore

felt like being on first table was noted. Pleasant at first then totally dismissed when people whom were obviously staying on premises arrived, all over them. Being a local quite upsetting

No 5 is tucked away down a side street in Queenstown but it’s a hidden gem! Chef Trent (who came out to deliver food & explain his creations to us) has created a menu for all, with numerous vegan & vegetarian options, as well as...meat and fish, using the best ingredients New Zealand has to offer. I visited with a friend who is celiac and she was catered for beautifully! Chris & Brendan looked after us, always making sure we had what we needed and recommending delicious cocktails. A must visit if you’re in Queenstown. Try the banana blossoms!More
