1876 really surprised me with their customer service compare to other bars/restaurants in Queenstown. The team is so friendly and bubbly. They go to a certain extent to make sure you’ve been looked after. The team at 1876 is such a great team who work...More

So the wife and I lobbed into here on a very warm, bustling, Friday arvo. $4 dollars for tap Montieth beer, and $5 for cider for the wife = happy campers. Place had a good vibe, and us oldies felt young again watching the young...More

The dining experience is composed of a number of essential components; great food is just one. The food here is very good; no complaints in this category. Ambiance is OK also. But the service leaves a lot to be desired. Not sure what the problem...More

Lovely little pub that is very busy due to the drink prices, cheapest in town, happy hour made a schooner $4 and normally $5. Cider was $5, $10 cocktails makes this place pretty popular. I only had a few drinks but saw others ordering food,...More

Busy place but not surprising considering the price of a beer! They do scrumptious mulled cider and wine also, the price of which is very reasonable. Food was excellent with good service too.

We stopped here several times during our stay in Queenstown. All Monteith's beers on tap are $4 from 4-6 and $5 afterwards. Tried their nachos and salt and pepper squid tapas and loved them. The tapas chicken bites were overcooked though so we likely wouldn't...More

Met my friends here at the start of our evening. It's got a nice little tapas type menu to eat if you're not up for a sit down meal. The wait can be long but that's because they are popular. After dinner the place really...More

Description
1876 Bar and Restaurant is a distinctive & much valued landmark of Queenstown. The old stone courthouse building was erected between November 1875 and September 1876. The Old Courthouse is one of the few structures that survive from Queenstown's early gold mining days. Now over 130 years on 1876 offers an upmarket menu, relaxed atmosphere, great service & friendly staff. With the option of indoor and outdoor dining 1876 is definitely the place to be. During the winter season we will have live music between Wednesday and Sunday nights.
