1876 Bar and Restaurant is a distinctive & much valued landmark of Queenstown. The old stone courthouse building was erected between November 1875 and September 1876. The Old Courthouse is one of the few structures that survive from Queenstown's early gold mining days. Now over 130 years on 1876 offers an upmarket menu, relaxed atmosphere, great service & friendly staff. With the option of indoor and outdoor dining 1876 is definitely the place to be. Good drinks with good prices! We love it! The drinks on offer are very fairly priced and has the variety for those of that like cocktails.

Just dont waste your time going there. Roast meal was like card board. Glass of poor quality pinot gris wine was $7.50 and served in a beer glass. Cocktails served in preserving jars, the place is a joke.
