The Old Courthouse is one of the few structures that survive from Queenstown's early gold mining days. Hospitality is missing from this outlet, the staff were not interested in serving anyone. We visited after having tea in the mall, we thought it looked like a nice spot and seemed quite busy. Firstly the QR code was water stained and didn’t work, so...we used the one further in. We never got asked for our vaccine pass, although we weren’t concerned as we had them on us. We stood for five minutes while the staff tried to avoid us, finally when they served us they said they were sold out of cocktails even though others had been served them. We settled on the Mudhouse Sauvignon the smallest glass for $11 it was a tumbler not even a wine glass. This place has gone backwards, such a shame as this used to be such a great destination. So many other bars worth visiting in Queenstown that have great customer service.More

We were walking past and the menu ticked all the boxes so we went in. We ordered 2 of the steak specials and a kids fish meal as well as drinks. I ordered a cocktail but we told they didn’t do them when they were...busy so I had a cider instead. The food arrived quickly and was simple but tasty. The steak was very well cooked. We wouldn’t hesitate to dine here if we are in the area.More

My friends and I love 1876 and we go there all the time, but last nights experience there left much to be desired. The food and drinks we had were all amazing and great value. However, we asked one of the waitresses walking past us...outside if she could turn on the electric fire place for us at around 6:30pm and she replied with “it’s not cold, the sun is out”. There was fresh snow on the mountains and the breeze was harsh! And she was in a thick hoodie and long pants. We were disappointed with her poor attitude and rudeness, she made us all feel stupid and pathetic :( really sad because we love going here and are loyal customersMore

We ate dinner and kids meals were unbelievably cheap. I tried the pea soup. Split peas weren’t quite cooked and it was super salty. I’m not very fussy either. Kids meals at $6 were great and liked but sadly daughter vomited at 3am (she had...haloumi burger) I’m not saying it was the restaurant but we don’t know. Nachos had no meat or beans. Anyway it was busy and fast and cheap with gorgeous lights around.More

The food and atmosphere was great ! And cheap drinks. Very yummy and good quality fish. However the chicken fajitas had 1 small piece of chicken. The heaters outside weren’t working so it was a bit cold

Great place to chill out after a full on day sight seeing. Drinks at $5 each were awesome and food was great too! Chicken wings are a highlight and the kids meals are amazing bang for buck. My kids loved them!

It was the first eatery we stumbled upon on our walk in to town and we didn't need to go any further. Daily specials and decent beer made it a win-win, so much so, we went back the next night. Nice to find somewhere to...eat that doesn't break the bank! Friendly staff too. Highly recommend.More

So we got a very salty steak, I had salty natchos. I took it here steak back to the bar to let them know and was asked by the guy, what do you want me to do about it. And not nicely either. Yes we...got a replacement and the lady who brought to was nice. 1st time visiting from out if town. Unfortunately won't be returning for another meal.More

Stumbled across this gem of a pub. Had house burger with bacon/cheese. Was delicious, it has to be the best burger I've ever had. The side of fries were also superb. 10/10 to the chef. Cider was tasty too. Would go back in a heartbeat.
