We had our first night in QT and couldn’t find something we liked or reasonably priced. Got up the top of town and found this one, sat outside on an unusually warm evening- nice area but tiny non smoking area as the large part is...smoking which we found weird. Beers on tap hood and cheap- kids tacos were only $6 We had a steak and chicken salad bowl and it was probably the nicest meal I’ve had in NZ in last 8 days and one of the cheapest.More

The drinks here are cheap. Probably the cheapest in Queenstown. It’s very much aimed at the student/backpacker crowd. There is a decent area to sit outside.
I didn’t get the theme of 1876 and when I asked the staff the had no knowledge of it either. As Māori, Tangata Whenua, there was no meaning or celebration of a one nation, one people which led me to believe it’s still stuck in...the 1870s! There’s nothing kiwi or cultural about it, the decor is confusing, the food is McDonalds vibes, no them, no culture, no nothing! I would NOT recommend this establishment to anyone. It is not ā representation of NZ culture after or even before 1876 🤦🏽♀️ it’s fkn horrible and all I think is, it’s colonisation all over again… aue!!!!More
We stopped in here on a Sunday evening before heading to our dinner reservation. The cheapest drinks we found in Queenstown! With the twinkle lights, gas fires and a live musician it was one of our favourite spots on our weekend!
Yuck! Food was over and undercooked at the same time. Like a microwaved slop. We had a steak and chips with no flavour and the inside was rare when we asked for medium well done and the outside was burnt. We complained to the waitress...and she said it’s because the chef is the only one there, she was empathetic, our sons child burger was cheap with a meatball size patty and huge burger bun with wilted lettuce. My burger was spicy and dry, needed sauce and flavour. It obvious the owner is just serving food to keep a liquor licence and it’s not worth the visit for food.More
Casual bar and restaurant, order food at bar. I had a tasty steak salad, my sister had cream of cauliflower soup which she enjoyed. Very fresh local ingredients.
The food was absolutely incredible, the chipotle chicken bowl, chicken fajitas, nachos, rump steak and halloumi Fries were definitely worth it. They also had some great cocktails and service was great even despite being shortstaffed!
Very crowded outside tables, so sat inside and had dinner. Service not that good, very young crowd, more of a drinking hang out, not that great for dining. If you go, sit outside if you can get a table....eat somewhere else.
Third tour in last three months alone. Trying so hard to assist local businesses recover. While I fully understand (and am part of) the difficulty our world is facing atm with resourcing, arrogance and rudeness anywhere is unacceptable. While our favourite town does its best...to recover, avoid this place like the plague!More

I should have read the reviews before visiting... Food was over cooked - brick tough or burnt, or undercooked and raw. Orders all arrived at different times, meal portions were inconsistent, and parts of the orders never arrived. Staff seemed overwhelmed or disinterested. Manager made...comment about it being a bit hectic, but really it was totally disorganized. Won't be going back.More
Waited over an hour for our food which endes up being cold. Then the stuff was rude when I ask them about. Disappointing for how expensive it is
Ordered a cocktail and told not making them as they had no ice. Below average food. Uninterested staff. Filthy toilets. Saturday night of along weekend and they start closing at 11.30pm, lights on doors open letting cold in. Asked our group to move so they...could clean our table. Made our way to the front to wait for taxi and staff member came rushing over and rudely told us we couldn't come in as they were closed...... we were leaving, we won't be back and will be letting others know DON'T BOTHER -GO SOMEWHERE ELSEMore
Hospitality is missing from this outlet, the staff were not interested in serving anyone. We visited after having tea in the mall, we thought it looked like a nice spot and seemed quite busy. Firstly the QR code was water stained and didn’t work, so...we used the one further in. We never got asked for our vaccine pass, although we weren’t concerned as we had them on us. We stood for five minutes while the staff tried to avoid us, finally when they served us they said they were sold out of cocktails even though others had been served them. We settled on the Mudhouse Sauvignon the smallest glass for $11 it was a tumbler not even a wine glass. This place has gone backwards, such a shame as this used to be such a great destination. So many other bars worth visiting in Queenstown that have great customer service.More
We were walking past and the menu ticked all the boxes so we went in. We ordered 2 of the steak specials and a kids fish meal as well as drinks. I ordered a cocktail but we told they didn’t do them when they were...busy so I had a cider instead. The food arrived quickly and was simple but tasty. The steak was very well cooked. We wouldn’t hesitate to dine here if we are in the area.More
