Not a lot more to say really. Oh, the staff were friendly. The drinks were also great value. The beer garden catches the sun well. We, and our numerous happyily fed children, will be back.

So we popped in for a quick drink on Saturday on our way out for a meal and we're graphically reminded why we don't go here anymore. The beer and wine are fine and the prices are ok. But once again the toilets were a total disgrace. Just to clarify there are no gender specific toilets, but what they do... More

For someone who likes beer and doesn't envy paying through the nose for it, 1876 is a great option in Queenstown, where you can pick up a pint for about $4 USD which is incredibly cheap for dining out in NZ. The menu is not huge but the portions are and they are quite tasty. The only drawback was that... More

Family went for dinner. Great and cheap cocktails and beers, calamari and bread were delicious from snack menu. The ribs were amazing and tender. Highly recommend😋

Dropped in for a quick lunch- was pretty quiet when we were there but clearly a party spot later, with big tables perfect for groups. We had the burgers which were an absolute bargain for $10 (half price special)- very tasty! Not a bad spot!

Very noisy pub outdoors however once inside we sat in the actual courthouse area and the food and service were great. Good value for money and kid friendly.

Such a quaint little Bar..Hello happy hour 4-6pm where you find $4 beer/wine/ciders.. $14 jugs..Cannot go wrong.. A sneaky surprise was the beautiful spare ribs in the shared platter..Better than the rib restaurant across the road by far!!!

Great staff, friendly and helpful, meals are well presented, tasty and very reasonably priced in comparison to most restaurants in Queenstown, couldn't ask for more.

We got in the place about 5 and it was hopping. Beer and wine were reasonable and so we're the burgers we had. Had to share a table with an older(like us) local, and had a great time. The food was pretty good and the help friendly. Great pub vibe.

Description
1876 Bar and Restaurant is a distinctive & much valued landmark of Queenstown. The old stone courthouse building was erected between November 1875 and September 1876. The Old Courthouse is one of the few structures that survive from Queenstown's early gold mining days. Now over 130 years on 1876 offers an upmarket menu, relaxed atmosphere, great service & friendly staff. With the option of indoor and outdoor dining 1876 is definitely the place to be. During the long summer months, the huge sun-drenched deck will host various activities with a cider garden, outside cocktail bar, Sunday BBQ & live music...
