This restaurant is highly recommended. The view over the water is wonderful and we loved watching all the different boats coming and going. We had salmon, scallops and creme brûlée. The kids had steak and chips (it was especially good to get good quality food...for the kids). All the food was fantastic quality. Our only small criticism was that 3 of the 4 of us would have liked slightly bigger portions. The service was excellent. Our waiter was Josh. His service was perfect, as was all of the wait staff we encountered . Efficient and friendly. A fabulous mixture of quality food, service and amazing views. Perfect!More

Had a wonderful evening here. Food looked amazing and everything was cooked beautifully. Definitely the best seafood chowder I had in a long time and the lemon tart was to die for! We both began with an amazing seafood chowder, one gluten free, the other regular. Each nicely blending flavours & “best ever” rating from our GF connoisseur. This was followed by mains - a tender sirloin, sizzled to perfection with a delightful purple kumara purée &...a tender stuffed chicken breast, with just the right combination of base ingredients. Plus we shared a tasty side of triple cooked chips. Together we finished with dessert - the quality of which made it 3 out of 3 for our courses. This was Creme Brûlée, amazingly completed with chunks of fresh Hokey Pokey & a salted caramel fudge square, adding a final sweet, artistic edge to a wonderful meal (see photo) All meals were beautifully presented & portion size was spot on. Great value too from 2 & 3 course special offer. The whole experience was orchestrated with excellent, thoughtful & helpful service from Alo, our young Italian waiter. I last went to the Boardwalk when President Clinton eat here. It was then known as the best restaurant in town. It deserves to keep that reputation. We were seduced by the special on cocktails and then chose from an extensive menu for these covid...times. Local fish for us and beef and lamb for the man at our table. All our choices were delicious and my lemon tart was a sight to behold. There are good value set menus on offer or one can splash out on crayfish and much more. The table and deck views are superb.More
