We lived around the corner from Ma Boulangerie, and visited on many occasions. In brief, they are the best French bakery we have seen outside of France. Particularly, amazing baguettes, but honestly most things we tried were great. Very well priced as well, and quite popular - so keep in mind if you're looking to grab something around dinner time (they sell out!). Thoroughly recommend!

Grabbed a coffee on a busy Sunday morning - the staff were friendly and attentive and when we got our coffee we were given a small pastry, free of charge . The range of breads and pastries was so tempting but we'd not long since eaten so we restrained ourselves. Pity we haven't got a bakery of this calibre near where we live.

A baguette from Ma Boulangerie became a ritual most mornings while we were staying across the road and very tasty they were too. We also had the cinnamon scroll (I have forgotten its proper name) which was nice but didn't have that many sultanas in it. Sadly I never got to try any of the other goodies in the cabinets but they sure looked delicious! What I really would have liked was a genuine mille-feuille like they make in France but alas, they had none.

The girl at the counter did not understand me when I asked her in plain English "Do you have any bread rolls" She seemed irritated with me and said we only sell what you can see in the shop. She sounded French.. but I really expected more courtesy from her..as this is not France but an English speaking country. Food might be good but her attitude left me with a sour taste in my mouth.

Overwhelming experience!
I stopped for see the shop and I finished eating 2 eclairs, 2 bear claw and 1 tiramisu, absolutely next level of pastry’s and sweets, extremely well done, soft, delicate, delicious and creamy.
I was in heaven eating those eclairs.
Great job guys, can’t wait to come back for more.

Food is great, but it would be nice if the staff could watch out for "Counter loungers" who do not get out of the way when you want to pay for the food and when you want to take the food away. Then when I was in the car park outsize New World, the "Counter lounger" walks over and starts abusing me! Who is at fault here??
Therefore the food is too expensive for what you get along with the abuse. Will think twice before I go back. 5 stars are for the food, not the experience in the shop. You would think Queenstown is happy to get local tourists, but obviously this is not the case.

Consistently rude service, I’ve been multiple times and they are always rude.. Never felt welcomed. They never say thank you which grinds my gears, especially in this economy. Food is good but go elsewhere now.

I visited here to buy my son's birthday cake. little shop but everything looked nice. bought choco-cheese cake, red opera, and custard tarte. I'm not sweet tooth and don't really fan of cake but their cakes were nice. would love to come back if any chance.

I'll start this by adding that I love French bakeries and patisseries. I search them out wherever I travel and am often disappointed, this time however I was not! They do the simple things well and the pretty things pretty. Delicious baguette, pies, brioche, gateau, macaroni, and surprisingly great coffee too.

The highlight for us was the pork, carrot, cumin pie. It made for a great lunch. We supplemented that with the palmier (large enough to split). That, also, was excellent. The mince cheese pie was only "so so." We'd not order that again.

We stayed close by on our anniversary trip so we visited this bakery almost every day. The coffee is amazing and the pastries were excellent. We tried the pies, croissants, swirls and loved them all!

Had some takeaway pastries from here and they were good! The scroll and sweet pastry were delicious but the pie was a bit too rich for me. Overall very good though.

Nothing is better than a nice bakery next to your accommodation in a short trip! I love their breads and everything they baked!
