Please do not get swayed by negative comments. The Ferg bakery products and the burger are very delicious and reasonably priced. It's worth waiting in the queue even in the cold.

I was in Queenstown for a week, and over that time had four different Fergburgers, they're all so good! Worth the queue which moves along at a reasonable pace, and depending on how busy they are, and if the people ahead of you have had...big orders or not, the queue moves along too. Fantastic sized burgers, a full meal in one, but not so high that it's impossible to get your mouth around it. A real Queenstown institution and a must-try.More

This is place is very over hyped. The burgers are good but nothing special. It is not worth standing out in the cold and rain for one of these. If you want one I’d suggest not going at peak times.

Heard all the hype so had to give it a try when in QT, prices are in line with other burger takeaways in NZ but the burgers from Ferg were delicious and super sized! Not sure I needed the onion rings I ordered, which were...equally fab and came with the most amazing aioli!! We picked our time and only waited around 10mins to order and then enjoyed a drink at Ferg Bar next store whilst we waited, they were ready within 10mins which was great! We had the Fergburger, double beef and cheese and the Ferg-lafel - delicious!More

We got take-away double beef burgers and were blown away by how enormous the burgers were - really lovely quality thick meat. Filling and delicious, and excellent value!

Heard mixed reviews but had to check it out for myself, so my wife and I got a Ferg deluxe and a Cockodoodle chicken burger. Sorry to say they were just ‘ok’. Great size and service was efficient, but just an average flavoured burger you...could find anywhere. Certainly did not have the flavour of a good smash burger. Fries not great also.More

A little confused by the hype of this place, I think it’s the name it has rather than the experience. Always major lines outside but we timed it pretty good around 11am, went walking around while we waited for our order so the online order...tracker was helpful. I appreciate the staff are busy but I don’t think I saw a smile from any one of them, they look very unhappy in their job. Burger was good but nothing to rave aboutMore

Everyone says you have to go here when in Queenstown. Well a 45 minute wait in 0 degrees means you would want this place to be AMAZING and unfortunately it wasn’t. It was okay but definitely not worth the wait or the hype.

We enjoyed the cock-cajun (Cajun chicken burger) and Bambi burger when we visited. The sandwiches are served hot and all the ingredients were fresh - crisp lettuce and onion. The sauces were very good and I felt the lemony sauce served with the chicken was...just perfect. It was quick to get the order in but it was a 15-20 minute wait to get our food. We felt it hit the spot but we also felt they could do better with the line management for collection. I was standing behind a person whose number came up on the board before me but her food was not ready and then a bunch of people cut in front of me and kind of pushed us to the side. There are attendants in the horde and seem to be there for crowd control and quality assurance but it would also help if they also helped with the collection area.More

A regular burger place serving decent burgers. We all ate a different burger each and they were nice but nothing particularly special. There's limited decent food options in Queenstown and Ferg seem to have nailed it with the Insta crowd. Open up any niche dining...restaurant in Queenstown and market it well and you'll also have people lining up daily.More

Seriously overrated. There is nothing special about this place at all. Its all hype. We bought fairly ordinary beef burgers and the chips were basic. I really dont know why this place gets such rave reviews. We went based on the reviews and hype and...were left wondering what everyone was going on about. Its a very ordinary burger.More

Great burger. The amount of people lining up shows the popularity. A great filling burger that hits the right spot

Fergburger has a great menu selection and the burgers are fresh and a good size. I am not sure it is worth all the hype, if you are from New Zealand you will know there are a lot of good burgers out there that are...on par with these.More

I got a chicken burger. It was nice but it was just an average burger you get everywhere else in pubs and restaurants. In fact I had better burgers elsewhere in NZ. Nothing special and out of this world. Definitely not worth queuing and waiting...for your order for 30 min and eating it on the street because there is nowhere to sit down.More
