Amazing meals, well satisfied with 4 out of 4 meals. We had the baked salmon, beer battered blue cod, southern style fried chicken and the goat shank. Also had the Eton mess and raspberry & white chocolate mud cake with sorbet for desserts, both of...More

The staff at this restaurant need proper training. Being constantly referred to as "youus", an uneducated version of referring to the customer, is very wrong and down grades the restaurant. The menu is very comprehensive. Unfortunately the only meal that delivered was the seafood chowder....More

Atmosphere was like a hotel dining space where you have breakfast. The decor is sterile. The service was very good. The starter of salt n pepper squid was nice. The main was a let down. I ordered Beefalo steak ( a hybrid cow n bison...More

This is a bit of a tricky one to review. We had a very pleasant meal here. I would recommend the restaurant - but it didn’t feel like a 5 star restaurant. The service and staff were fantastic, if I was rating on service alone...More

This is my all time favorite restaurant in Invercargill, good for business dinners or family occasions, great choice of the most presentable southern dishes, super friendly staff and great environment. Highly recommended.

Have been here several times. It's pretty hit and miss whether you'll get a good meal. Unfortunately it's more miss than hit. The resaurant is typical of those owned by the local liquor licensing trust. Expect expensive low quality food. For the latest experience I...More

Based solely on Trip Advisor reviews, we chose The Saucy Chef for a family Christmas get together. Their Brunch menu was perfect - something for everyone including two tempting vegetarian options. The waitress was amazing! Friendly, great food recommendations and super accommodating. We were a...More

We were recommended this place to eat by the motel we were staying at. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. Would love to eat here again if ever in Invercargill
