I woke up in an unfamiliar town wanting a coffee and went to the closest cafe on the map. This was it and it was absolutely pumping on Saturday morning. This seems to be the place to come in Invercargill for Saturday breakfast.

After touring around the South for the past few days I had given up hope of eating anything mention worthy (apart from the crayfish in Doubtful Sound!), when a friend recommended The Batch. Boy was I glad we made a detour to visit! We had...the blue cod buttie and it was devine! Only downside was they forgot our cheese and bacon scone which was remedied quickly once mentioned but they were extremely busy at the time. Guessing this must be the place to be at lunchtime in InvercargillMore

No wonder this is the number one café in Invercargill. The food is fabulous with reasonable prices. I'm a chocoholic but orered a citrus bite which was one of the best desserts I've ever eaten. I highly recommend this café.

We arrived with a big group (13) and got seated and served quickly. The breakfast was yum and coffee good. We will probably be back tomorrow 😁

Beautiful food, great coffee and outstanding service. Very family friendly. The avo smash and small fry are delicious.

The place had nice food and a great coffee. Its busy and we had to sit at a long table next to others who were so very loud it was hard to have another conversation. This is not the cafes fault though. Highly recommend the...food and comfort.More

Just stopped in for a quick coffee but could not resist the mousetrap! Great coffee, yum food and cool atmosphere, well worth stopping in. Parking isn't the best but it's worth a wee walk to try this place.

Excellent lunch and coffee. Including ubiquitous cheese roll and seafood laden chowder. Umm. Breakfast the next day. Also excellent.

Cheese Rolls YUM . In Southland for a limited time but everywhere I went I sought local food . It’s not the season for oysters so I focused on other delicacies and the Southland cheese roll is a legend . Many would have a favourite...maker . For me - Batch cafe ! Go you won’t be disappointed . Their cakes and coffee divine too . Best cafe in SouthlandMore
