We went there tonight based on TripAdvisor rating. We booked a table but when we arrived the waiter didn't ask our name but thanked us for coming back, we hadn't been. It was very busy, but instead of seeing to customers the waiting staff were...more concerned with clearing tables. We eventually placed our order for food and drinks. I had carbonara. It was nice but very salty. The pasta was nicely al dented. It was put down in front of us, no "would you like anything else, a drink perhaps?" That was the last ww saw of any staff, no " is everything OK, would you like anything?". Nothing. The customer seemed to be low on the list of priorities for the staff. I do feel that being high in the list of recommendations gives some restaurants a licence to treat customers with disdain Would I recommend it? Yes, if you like oizza/pasta, it was very reasonably priced and the food was OK.More

There is so much to love about Etrusco. The food is delicious and plentiful, such great flavours and so fresh. On top of that, you get to dine in a stunning environment, a gorgeous old but comfortable building.

We were lucky enough to snag a reservation at Etrusco on a busy Saturday evening. It reminded us of many restaurants we have visited in Italy - family-run, popular, with great food. Wife and I shared the 3-pasta combination, all of which were delicious. I...don't tend to be much of a fan of carbonara sauce but Etrusco made me a believer. Highly recommended.More

We stumbled across this little gem after arriving in Dunedin only a couple of hours beforehand. We went upstairs and wow!!! The grand room was one of the most iconic dining rooms in Dunedin in its day, fell into disrepair but has been fully restored...and is now home to the fabulous Entrusco Restaurant. We found the staff to all be very professional and friendly and the food very fresh, authentic and super tasty! The portions were also very generous - enough for us to take home what we couldn’t finish and enjoy it for lunch the following day. Prices were extremely reasonable. We would definitely recommend Entrusco if you’re visiting Dunedin☺️More

Our small group comes here reasonably regularly and we always appreciate the welcoming vibe and the overall experience here. The interior is beautiful, staff are always friendly and efficient, and we have our favourite dishes. We can never go past the schiacciata with its simple...taste of rosemary, olive oil and salt. The garlic bread is the best I’ve ever tasted. My spaghetti marinara was perfect. Everyone enjoyed their pasta dishes. The wine list was good and we enjoyed Bellini and a very flavourful Pinot gris.More

Great food and service here. Friendly staff who were attentive while obviously being very busy. Being busy with a lot of customers, it was loud at times. But overall, I would definitely go back again

Great atmosphere, excellent service and delicious food. We visited on a Sunday evening, the restaurant was very busy but we were seated promptly, orders were taken quickly and meals arrived shortly after. The management and staff were super friendly, at no time were we waiting...too long, and once we were finished there was no expectation to leave, so the table could be vacated for the next service, This was our 4th visit and perfect as always, whether it be for a casual meal, meeting friends or a special occasion, Etrusco rocks !!More

I found my dinner was absolutely delicious - both main and dessert. Couldn't fault it in any way. My husband didnt feel the same way - he said his meal was not very good. The meals didnt come out at the same time, he got...his first. He found it warm (not hot) and slightly undercooked. I tried a mouthful of his and he was quite right - it was not very nice at all. He said his dessert was not very nice either. We went there as it was my birthday and since my husband is now in a wheelchair, we needed somewhere that was wheelchair friendly. Trying to get in their lift was a mission. I had to manoeuvre the chair to try and get it in before the door closed. That was touch and go. The lift is way too small even though its advertised that its for wheelchairs. They had a table reserved for us near the door which was very good of them, but the table frame was very low, and he couldn't quite the chair underneath properly. The service was excellent, and the staff were all very friendly. Its just a shame that my husbands meal wasn't up to the usual standard that we`ve had before.More

We were welcomed by friendly staff, even though I had made a mistake with my booking date and arrived a week early, and the restaurant was booked out and very busy, due to it being the first week of Uni. Friendly waitress bought our food...out quickly. We shared bruschetta, venison ragout and marina pizza…all very good with the ragout being the standout. Plenty of seafood on the marinara pizza…although the peanut size pieces of fresh garlic were a little challenging even for this garlic lover. The restaurant itself is quite beautiful and is well worth the visit in itself.More

Lovely Italian restaurant, classic surroundings which were very much in keeping with the whole building. The meal was lovey although the choice was not huge there was enough to provide a good variety.
