My wife and I stopped in for a drink and ended up having dinner here. The guys that were working that night were very friendly. Beer selection was pretty good and they had a great deal for the malt/Scotch of the week at $9. The food was tapas style with lots of variety. Not sure if I would call the... More

Visited this prior to going to see Bruce Fummey's History of Scotland at the Fortune Theatre. Had a nice pint of Emerson 1812 and a haggis and black pudding roll. Great food and great beer. For whisky afficiendos there was a selection of 50 single malts to choose from. Good décor and atmosphere.

We were in Dunedin for the weekend and visited this wee gem on Sunday afternoon. Great selection of local brews, friendly and professional staff, and our favourite part was the trad music session they had going on. Great way to end a lovely weekend in Dunedin.

Love coming in for the potato chats with aioli and tomato, good vibes from a busy wee city bar. Bartenders are always chatty, decor is old fashioned and a 'mans bar'

Delicious whisky options. Friendly bar staff and pretty chilled atmosphere. Fun night out catching up for a few before loxal gigs and finishing up after.

This small pub has a nice selection of draft beers, mostly served from engines in the British style. i.e.: cellar temp. This dramatically changes your pint. It was a pleasure to get great beer and be able to taste it as it was meant to be, not frozen. The menu is a bit funky, Tapas! And other stuff. The tapas... More

Walking back to our hostel from dinner, this pub caught our eye with its olde style storefront and we decided to try a drink. Evidently popular, it was a struggle to get to the bar through the crowded room though thankfully we found the last available table adjacent to it. The barman was friendly, letting me sample several of the... More

Being from the UK, I miss bars & pubs with actual atmosphere- this place is one of my favourite in NZ. It's small but inviting, all the staff are friendly & the food looks awesome- can't wait to try some. Great relaxed place to visit & enjoy some good beer.
