This cafe is in a lovely old building in the heart of uni territory. I had the vegetable hash with bacon and eggs. While perfectly adequate, I felt it was a bit lacking in flavour. Suspect I was spoilt by my brunch experience elsewhere the previous day. I would probably choose somewhere else next time.

Beautiful setting - lots of light & sun - delicious food - on the more expensive side but generous portions and very yummy! Had the organic porridge with honey & fruit - couldn't eat it all. Hubby had poached eggs special with artisan toast & creamy mushrooms - heavenly. Son had French toast - it was gone in a flash!... More

Delicious, creative and organic. I had the porridge with fruit and yogurt, and hubby had pecan french toast with bacon. I would highly recommend this place!!!!

My family and I had breakfast here a couple of times. First day was the special if bacon, eggs and their own sauce and fresh bread. Second day, we had the bagel (substantial breakfast with great combination of colour and flavours), French toast and bacon and eggs with organic hash brown - superb. The cabinet food is beautifully presented as... More

My blueberry smoothie was verging on warm (yuk), my partner's salmon bagel had very little salmon in it and the apple/berry oatmeal slice had very little fruit in it (dry). I cannot comment on their organic credentials, but I was not convinced of their food credentials.

Red wine and beef cheek pie, was outstanding, it was service with a red cabbage salad with coconut and raisins, and a pasta salad. The café has a nice selection of juices and also sells wine by the glass.

Nice selection of hearty but healthy breakfast and lunch options, on edge of Otago University. Friendly staff, great food. A keeper.

The best place for organic cafe style food in Dunedin, if not NZ. That is saying something. Have been here lots of times and have not had a meal that has not been superb. Coffee is always hot and the staf are so helpful and know what to recommend when asked. The variety of food on offer from both the... More

From the name I thought this would be a typical hippy cafe, but it's actually a little more upmarket than that. Good vegetarian and vegan menu but also local options with meat too. Very good coffee and friendly service. Pleasant place to sit and watch the word go by. Definitely recommended

We had breakfast here because it was so convenient to our hotel. Ordered the oatmeal and the waffles. Both were delicious and in huge proportions! Lots of choice at this cafe, with plenty for vegans and other dietary choices.
