Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went with elderly family members and were thrilled with the service and kindness shown by the staff. Lunch was delicious and catered well for the gf people as well.

Had a lovely time at the restaurant and gardens in the evening, where I had talked with staff and set up a proposal in the garden area. It was lovely and the staff were very helpful during the event. Thanks again for the positive encouragement...😁More

Came here for lunch and the location is beautiful. We ordered lunch and waiting over an hour for the food to come out. When it finally did come out it was good but nothing special.

Hadn’t visited Glenfalloch in a number of years, let alone eaten there; had a delicious brunch! Food envy for most dishes - and good portions also. Superbly cooked & presented; highly recommended - and definitely won’t leave it so long before dinning there again. Children’s...options are a little limited at brunch. Perhaps dinner next time…More

A fabulous Friday evening meal , beautifully served, accompanied by a singing guitarist. We really appreciated the preceding happy hour. A most enjoyable experience. We will return as often as we can.

I found my little piece of paradise. I went to Glenfalloch with my family to have a look at the garden. The Restaurant looked inviting and we decided to have lunch there and were not disappointed. The Sole was cooked to perfection. When we talked...to the very friendly staff we found out the Head Chef used to be the Head Chef at the famous Fleurs Moeraki, so there is no surprise he knows what he is doing. The coffee was delicious and we had a Magic Slice and the Lava Cake as a sweet finish. We can highly recommend Glenfalloch and will definitely come back!More

The only thing that let this place down was that I specifically asked for our coffee to be extra hot but instead we were served coffee that was barely lukewarm. Normally I would have taken it back but they seemed short staffed . It is...disappointing when the coffee you ordered was barely warm . A good barista should know the recommendation temperature a flat white should .More

We had our wedding at Glenfalloch and couldn't be happier. At every step the staff were so patient and helpful, from designing the event menu with us to helping our celebrant with the rehearsal. It was such a joyful day and we owe so much...to the kindness and support of Monica, Dougal and Alex! The food was delicious and beautifully presented, both on the day and on the other occasions we visited while planning. The non-alcoholic cocktails were a big hit too! The garden itself was the perfect backdrop for all our photos, even without a pro photographer it was easy to get totally gorgeous (& frameable) pics. The tuis and piwakawakas singing & visiting for the ceremony were so special. As a gay couple we'd been careful when looking for a venue, but the Glenfalloch staff always made us and all of our guests feel genuinely & completely welcome. We're so glad that we chose Glenfalloch, and look forward to visiting again for our every anniversary for many years to come.More
