I hesitated before writing this review as previous reviews deemed this restaurant a great place to dine. I obviously missed something the night we were here. We were here for a staff dinner. The ambiance is great, place is also warm. But that's where it...ended for a number of us. I ordered the Cannelloni Fiorentina. The dish came with very little napoli sauce to the point that the actual cannelloni was hard and dry. The filling was dry and the lack of sauce meant there was no accompaniment to the filling. As for the seasonal vegetables; this was several pieces of hard broccoli and green pepper spaced out around the outside of the dish. Most unappealing. Another member of our table was not impressed with her Gnocchi which was apparently very dry and lacked flavour. There was left over food on a number of plates. Good food tends to be eaten not left. In the words of Manu: 'where is the sauce?' Perhaps we struck a bad night, I don't know?More

We had pizza which was great and lasagne plus a pasta - large portion and really well prepared . Great ambiance and busy . Good price and lovely desserts . The owner is very attentive . My second visit and still consistently good.

The FOOD is just amazing!! 2nd time there and it was really authentic and a great atmosphere. The specials change but very worth hearing about them they are all delicious

As soon as you arrive you are warmly welcomed by the brilliant staff and delicious smells from the kitchen. So many wonderful options on the menu, it makes it difficult to choose. We enjoyed Gnocchi ai Tartufo and the Cheeky Gnocchi, both rich, delicious and...full of flavour - highly recommend these tasty treats! We had already started to plan our next visit as there are so many amazing dishes to choose from. We were a drop in visit to Tutto Bene. The restaurant was busy busy. We were offered high seats on the bench at the front of the window which we accepted. Space was cramped. We were aware of the lady sitting behind my partner so...he pulled his chair closer to me and turned it. A party of 3 arrived, and they were offered 3 seats at the same bench as us, which they took. This left us no room or bench to put our food on. We ended up asking for takeaways and went back to our room to eat. Food was good. Maybe don’t over crowd quite so much😕More

Had another wonderful meal here. Always good. This is our special occasions restaurant and where we also like to take family and close friends. This restaurant has such a great atmosphere, the staff are really attentive. We had gluten free and dairy free people at...our table and the staff were so helpful. Plenty of tasty options for everyone. Sometimes it's hard to choose. We had a selection of starters to share and then the table was divided between pasta and pizza but there was a fair amount of sharing going on again. Funny but when it came to dessert, those who had a dessert ate their quickly. It must have been that good!!! No sharing. Thank you for a great night. Would highly recommend for great Italian food and good atmosphere.More

We had dinner here last night and as always it didn't disappoint. The generous portions are tasty no matter what you choose. They have a great menu including a vegan menu with plenty of gf options as well. The restaurant is lively and the staff...are friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for great Italian food.More

I rated this restaurant 4/5 because when we eat there it is. However we had a Marguretta pizza to take home this week and it was so disappointing. Overly thin, little on top and virtually tasteless.

Choose this restaurant as friends had taken us here on a previous visit to Christchurch. Pleased we did, staff very friendly, especially Damian who remembered taking my booking. I had the steak & vegies, delicious. The man had the veggie cannelloni, also yum. We were...too full for dessert.More

Excellent Italian food with a great range of pizza and pasta on offer, perfect for sharing “family style”! An authentic Italian style restaurant which feels cosy with great food and beverages to match! We enjoyed our Aperol Spritz, a classic European cocktail, which was perfectly...executed and went down a treat. The pizzas were cooked perfectly in the wood fire with crust bubbles (my favourite) and a suitable amount of toppings. The pasta dishes were equally delicious (I always like a little more sauce with mine, but that’s a preference) and the extra Parmesan offered was a nice touch. Couple of basil leaves on top would have been ideal and would finish all the dishes off nicely (again a preference). Service was great and attentive, thanks team! We look forward to our next visit!More

Ate at Tutto Bene on our trip to Christchurch and enjoyed the ambiance and meal. The Restaurant was busy and obviously popular in the orange level covid environment. The wait staff followed the Alert level requirements which added reassurance to our visit. Our orders were...taken quickly and efficiently and we were served promptly and attentively. We enjoyed the pizzas we ordered which definitely met my wife's high standard definition. The timarasu my wife ordered for dessert was greeted with enthusiasm by her. Well worth the visit.More
