This is our go to never fail restaurant. Great food, wonderful people. Spoilt us for everything else ❤ Try new places occasionally just don't measure up

Six of us went to Casa Nostra two nights earlier to celebrate a family member's 50th wedding anniversary. We started with garlic bread followed by a huge antipasto platter sampling a taste of Italy that was a delight to wade through. We then got stuck...into our mains finishing with their homemade desserts. Service was caring and responsive. Food was excellent. Prices were very competitive. Some friends brought us here for a meal saying it’s the best Italian in Christchurch and it was everything they promised. We had a variety of things from the menu and everything was great - the salad, pizza, pasta, desserts, all freshly made and delicious....Everything we ordered was big enough to share between 2 or more and we were glad we came with people who knew to recommend that! The service was impeccable, the staff are friendly, attentive but unobtrusive. It’s rare you get a restaurant whose staff strike that balance. We will definitely be back!More

First visit here in our quest to try as many resturants in the Entertainment book in one year during our Sunday date nights and so pleased we did. They have an extensive menu and the food is tasty and of a generous portion. A big...variety will ensure that any tatses are catered for and I highly recommend this place and we will be back.More

My favourite place to visit for dinner when in Christchurch for work. A short drive or taxi out of Chch in ferrymead. Friendly casual family ran restaurant with a varied Italian menu and good portions with lots of flavour. Also offer takeaway if you just...need some good comfort food at home. They always welcome me with open arms and a friendly greeting which is nice as a solo diner. I will be back!More

Having not been out for Italian in a while, we booked dinner here and arrived to a busy restaurant and were promptly seated. We chose an antipasto to share, Proscuitto Mare & Monte which we enjoyed. Big prawns however we were puzzled that there was...five rather than an even number. Generous enjoyable helping. We ordered Fettucine con Pancetta & Linguine Pescatore for the mains. Both very tasty and enjoyable and both again VERY generous helping-wise. We had a pre-dinner drink (G&T & beer) and a wine each with our main. Bill was $124.00 in total which we felt was reasonable, particularly with taking home part of our meal for the next night! We enjoyed all the tasty food and we look forward to returning this nice sized restarant to perhaps try their Pizza or Risoni.More

Dined with friends on a weeknight. The atmosphere is nice however the service could have been better. We had to keep trying to get the attention of the wait staff to order drinks and they did not come back and ask if we wanted another...drink. It was not busy so no reason why they could not check at least once. The food was really good though and came out on hot plates and well presented. We ordered the chicken parmigiana, a pizza, cannelloni, and the chicken meatballs pasta dish. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, but they were HUGE! If we had been aware of the size we could easily had one main between two people. As it was we ended up with takeaways which were enough for another meal each. No room for dessert or anything else which was a shame. Prices are reasonable too. Recommend this restaurant and will returnMore
