Very friendly on the phone, quick pick up and was so happy it was delicious! We have been searching for a good Thai shop for ages on the East side. Nice amount of spice, the green curry was very fragrant, only down side is small rice, will have to order an extra.

I haven't been here since they changed owners or whatever the situation was as I have been overseas the last year but this place is the best!
I have been to 25 countries including Thailand (4times) and this Thai food comes out on top! their chicken green curry is amazing! my favourite dish ever! the owners that I knew were fabulous! they got to know me quite well and also my family! Will miss their friendly faces and their fabulous food when I come back to NZ

This is a quiet suburban restaurant clean and presentable. There were six of us. Meal was very good, I being pleased with my choice, that always helps. It is not an upmarket place but very good for a medium priced meal.

We loved this for takeaways, the best Thai ever. Sadly it has changed hands, we tried the new one on their first night, ant they are good but not as good as the RedChilli. Bought two dishes that we regularly ate, they were different, and maybe that's what qualifies as "not as good"

We have had takeaways from here several times. Never disappointed. Well priced. Fresh ingredients and always so prompt. Never dined in the restaurant so can't comment on that side.

The first time I went there I was impressed by the entrees. I had the spring rolls, fish cake and chicken satay sticks which I definitely recommend getting them all especially the satay sticks, which were a generous size. We also had a green curry, which we ordered to be mild and the chef (who is very nice and courteous) delivers. The Tom Yam soup is also very good with lots of seafood (squid, mussels and prawn) it wasn't too salty nor chilli.
The second time we ordered an entree for four people which was excellent too, it had all the entrees served on one dish. We also tried Chicken with Cashew nut, which was excellent and I fully recommend. The Special Vegetable Salad with Egg (hot) was as you'd expect however, I would probably recommend a beef salad instead.
The service was excellent and consistent during both my visits, the waiter/waitress were attentive and caring.
They do close at 9pm so get there early!

Seeing as howe Bill and I are the food lovers whilst our wives are the flower and garden ethuisiasts, we found all the hype and stories about the fare served at Red Chilli Thai to be spot on. Recommend it highly for Thai lovers

Fantastic food. I used this several times for take aways during my stay in Christchurch. You phone and by the time you walk there (about 10 minutes) the food is ready to be picked up. They do great food with a real thai taste and flavour. Highly recommended.
