Just visited Divine Desserts, had the best broth I've tasted in a long time. Delicious! Great tasting coffee and the biggest selection of cakes ever! Highly recommended.

I needed a cake in a hurry. I was a tourist in CHCH. The counter service was good. Helpful. The cake I bought was a chocolate mud cake with Happy Birthday already written on it , which helped me greatly. It was also decorated nicely . The price of the cake , for the size , was a little high - as it was small - but it was classier than the supermarket ones. On eating , everyone was happy with the taste. If you want something a little more stylish , you will always need to pay more.

Stopped in here to buy a cake for my partner for his birthday. After checking out their options and the preferences of everyone who will be eating the cake, we went with the Chocolate mud cake.
After dinner, we served the cake on the board (out of the box) it was given to us on.
PROS:
Location convenience
CONS:
1. Poorly iced - icing didn't go all the way down to the bottom of the cake
2. The cake itself was very very dry. There was no way this cake was made today. You needed to have a drink after every bite.
Completely disappointed with this purchase. Will not be purchasing again when there are many other options available. A supermarket mud cake would have been moister than this cake. So very disappointed. :(

Ended up getting a bespoke cake made for my girlfriend for my birthday.
The cake itself wasn't particularly amazing but it was fantastically priced (so that more than made up for it).
The whole process of buying was made as easy as possible, the website was incredibly easy to use and had excellent customisation options available.
Overall, very happy with the service and will be coming back in future.

Love their cakes. Carrot cake is to die for. Chocolate mousse cake nice too. All lovely. Best cake shop in Christchurch.

Through grab one, there was a deal for a slice of cake and a coffee for $9. Boy, was it brilliant. The best Madeira cake which I have ever had. The lemon was punchy and tarty without being over the top. The cream filling was rich and devine! The coffee? Can’t remember. The cake was the star of the show!

If you have never tried a Cronut (cross between a Croissant & a donut with a surprise filling) get in quick before they sell out.
Oh and they also sell wonderful cakes, & cheesecakes, & other delicious items.

from cookies to cakes ...so nice ,so tasty great with a cuppa.
good variety of great New Zealand cakes a real Christchurch enterprise.
i love there raspberry cheese cake..they are my favourite.
believe there cake are so DEVINE...not too sweet..such passion in the cake ..we love them when birthdays and special occasions arise.
a must buy.....u won't be disappointed.

My bought a baileys cheese cake yesterday and as it has alcohol in it I went back to the shop today and explained to them that there is liqueur( alcohol ) in it and my children cannot have it so I need to swap it for something else.The server told me that she cannot do it as they have a 24 hours return policy.It means if you buy a cake from them and take it home and bring it back next day they cannot exchange it or refund or credit it.i asked the server that I wanted to speak to the manager and she connected me to a lady who told me they cannot exchange the product and basically I have to pay full amount if I wanted a different cake.They have nowhere displayed the refund policy of their business instore or online.People make honest mistakes and if you know it then certain adjustments and flexibility is required as they say Customer is always right.
The server and the manager were very less accomodating and had a negative attitude about them as they were not listening to the customer.i have been a reqular customer of divine since last 11 years but now I think it's time for a change.problem should have been looked into and resolved which finally did happen I was asked to pay the difference and given another product.You guys made my day by ruining it.i would have put the cake in the bin if not for my wife and kids as they wanted to make my day a special one.Moral do the story....Bake your own cake at home.
Divine has been exceptional brand so far but this incident has soured things up.They need to display their policies and procedures.listen to customer's as happy customers tell 10 people unhappy ones tell everyone.

Totally recommend chocolate raspberry Ganache cake.We picked one up for my son's 21st birthday and it was delicious.Shop lady not very happy looking despite being surrounded by yummy cakes lol

Any cakes we have bought from Divine Cakes has been divine. My favorite is carrot cake but others in the family are voting for the chocolate mud cake. Fabulous place to get a special occasion cake.

It's become a bit of an expectation at birthdays in our family to have the classic mud birthday cake from divine. We once strayed to a cheese cake but turned back to the favourite quickly!
