Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a beautiful and cute little cafe located inside Cathedral Square on the end corner. It is gorgeously decorated with lots of pretty flowers, fresh and dried. The coloured glass windows give is a wonderful light and ambiance. It was just so nice to...sit there in such an attractive setting to enjoy morning tea. The service was friendly, professional, quick and accommodating. There were highchairs for the little ones. We had coffees, fluffies and scones. All were brilliant. They had a very attractive offering in the glass cabinet. All looked fresh and appealing. We would happily return here to enjoy the lovely flowers, delicious coffee and tasty treats. Thank you.More

Handy location as we were waiting on the tram to come through, the coffee was good but didn’t have enough time for anything to eat.

We had breakfast here whilst we waited for the tram. Very average is all I can say. Coffee was average and food not much better. Lack of people in cafe should have put us off. We have just done numerous reviews of our recent trip...to NZ and everyone else got an excellent rating. Sorry Seasons Espresso Bar but you need to improve.More

I was looking forward to trying the breakfast as we were staying in Hotel 115 right next door. On both mornings, we checked and it was closed. There was no signs or anything to say it was shut down. When asking the desk clerk in...the hotel, they apparently open when they want. Not sure how this works, but its not a good way to run a business. We were not the only ones perplexed about this others were waiting for it to be opened only to be disappointed like us. Pretty shoddy to me. Skip this as it may not be open if you visit.More

We ordered two coffees and two eggs Benedict, one GF option with bacon and the other one normal with Salmon. One of the coffees was cold and sent back. The eggs bene arrived with the bacon on the normal one and salmon on the GF....The salmon was straight out of a packet as was (I suspect) the holandaise sauce despite saying it was home made. The eggs were supposed to be free range which are normally have nice rich yellow yolks. These ones looked so anaemic that they would befit chickens from a nuclear city such as The Simpson’s home town Springfield. Needless to say I won’t be back.More

Came for breakfast twice as it was close to our hotel in Cathedral Junction and their prices were more reasonable than others nearby. Service was quick and friendly, but they weren't exactly over run with other customers. Freshly cooked breakfast (bacon, eggs & tomato) and...coffee was great too, strong and hot. We had walked past here a few times and looked for a menu outside without success, most times there were few if any diners inside and we had no idea of their operating hours (breakfast/lunch/dinner?). They could improve their visibility by posting menus & prices outside along with their trading times as I'm sure many people would walk by not even realising there is a cafe there.More

A group of us went for breakfast and the beans and eggs were superb. Limited menu but food is week cooked and served. Friendly staff. Cheap.

Tourists will fall into this place because of its position in the Tram junction. But I don't imagine many locals use it because it's not a place you'd return to. One of us had tea, and it was ok but nothing special. One of us...asked for a Piccolo (coffee), met with blank stares. So a flat white had to suffice. Service was utterly bland, nothing cheerful, nothing welcoming, just like railway station cafes of 50 years ago. In a competitive world, you have to at least pretend to like your customers to make them want to come back.More

We stayed at the 115 hotel so wandered in here as the closest place. I had a really nice Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon and a Latte and it was delicious.

Had a small breakfast in Seasons on Saturday morning (fairly early). Seasons is a small cafe, with maybe 8 bar seats, a table or two and a large central communal table. The menu selection was small, and we both had their special breakfast option of...orange juice, bacon & eggs on toast (partner had tomatoes and egg on toast) and a hot drink. Nothing wrong with the food, nothing especially amazing either, Orange juice tasted more like an orange drink rather than juice, but not deal breaker for us. Service was friendly and quick. Give it a try!More
