Good yum char

Have been here a number of times for yum char, good to get here early and avoid the rush. Staff are generally attentive and the food comes out fast. Tasty food with generous portions, caters well to families and larger tables

Ate here twice while in Christchurch.

Ate here twice while in Christchurch. One dim sum lunch and I came back for supper after I found the dim sum above average. Dinner was not disappointing. The chef offered some Szechuan dishes and Cantonese dishes. If you are an overseas Chinese traveling the world but still need to eat Chinese food once in a while, this will more than suffice.

First time here for my family of two adults and three teens. Came as very highly recommended by my parents as the place to go for authentic Chinese food when staying in Christchurch (and none of us live in Christchurch). We loved it! Great tasty Chinese food, good portion sizes - and came out quite quickly. Unlimited green tea always goes down well. Couldn’t fault the service - nice friendly staff. We’ll definitely be back!

POOR SERVICE, AND SUB STANDARD EXPENSIVE FOOD.

I have been to Daphne's restaurant many times and each time have found their service slow and unprofessional, I do not rate the food at all and the food is also expensive for what you get. I have noticed that the portion sizes have got smaller and smaller. I do not recommend this restaurant at all. (I only go because widowed friend of my mother likes the owner of Daphne Restaurant so I take my friends mother there. If it wasn't for her I would avoid Daphne's Restaurant at all cost).

Bland, Dry and Disappointing

We visited for dinner after reading some good reviews. We were very disappointed. We ordered the crispy roast chicken (very dry), the stir fried noodles, fried dumplings, chicken and corn soup. Everything was SO bland and had no flavour. It was clear that no care had gone in to any of the dishes. Will not be back.

Good Yum Char

We took some friends here for a Yum Char lunch. The food was well cooked and tasty. The beef tendon was especially good. For 7 of us it cost $120 which was good. The staff struggled with English, but we got there in the end.

Perfect dim sum

I have been to daphne's many, many times for dim sum and have never been disappointed. Some of these negative reviews people have made make 0 sense. Good service and fantastic food, great for a budget too.

This place is amazing. Have been going religiously for 2 years now and it never fails my expectations. Everything on the menu is terrific. Gather your friends, take a few bottles of wine EACH and live your best lives 👌

Great Yum Cha

We go to Daphne’s quite regularly and have never been disappointed. The food is great and the service friendly. It’s good value too. Love the barbecue chicken.

Good value and service and delicous too

We came here for a quick meal and loved the selection of authentic chinese food. Tried the prawn ball special, the tofu special and the fish maw soup. All yum! Highly recommended.
