I have been here many times in the past 5+ years. Always delicious, relatively quiet ( shouldn't be), attentive service and love that I can see the sea. Their meals for under $30 are fantastic with rice, salad, miso & then a dish of choice i.e. teriyaki ...are awesome.
Alot of sushi goes out the door as takeaway so people are onto this place.
Always fresh especially the seafood. Nice wines too. Recommend!

Small understated place resembling a cafe rather than the surroundings for such fabulous food. I can't believe the wide scope of the menu and on the night we dined it seems that 3 pax were responsible for a nearly full restaurant (and Uber eats) and still put out fabulous, flavour-some food.
Pork cutlet - melt in mouth pork, some of the best ever, Japanese or otherwise, but my favorite was the Kenzo roll. Really reasonably priced for top quality food, lovely service.

This is a little hidden gem in Christchurch. It’s our local Japanese restaurant and its amazing. The family that own and run it are lovely and welcoming the service is great, and the food is outstanding and their wine list is fantastic. The Sashimi is stunning and the presentation of everything is always beautiful.

Just amazing...food delish..Wagyu delish..my oxtail melted in my mouth...tuna soft as butter...not from Christchurch..but will be making an effort to go again soon...you know when your still talking about it 4 days later...it was better than good 👌

Kenzo staff are polite, attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. The food is always beautifully presented, fresh, delicious and appealing. My husband and I just can't stay away.

Took the grandkids to a restaurant we had enjoyed before
This time the service was extremely slow
Kids getting very frustrated
When asked they said they had a lot of takeaway orders
If that is the prime market then fine. We won’t be back
Also sushi was not normal and not really suited for kids
Pink rice and seafood balanced on top
Quite expensive

This restaurant is tucked away from the main roads but is well worth a visit. The food is delicious, excellent service, and a very clean and attractive premises.
On a busy weekend we were the only people there for lunch and that added to a very positive experience and fantastic value. I would certainly come back here again!

Very reasonably priced, nice location, plenty of parking. Food was the best bit though - we shared some delicious salmon sashimi and I ordered teriyaki beef which was melt-in-your-mouth amazing! Looking forward to going back soon.

we decided on this restaurant, as it was open and the other place close by wasn't. the food was great the price was great, nice fresh sushi and large rolls. very nice I would go there again

Great selections to choose from with $10 Lunch menu for busy people. The sushi is of generous portions and delicious. The staff are friendly and the service is quick. The seating has lovely views to the water and hills. Very clean and tidy.You won't leave here hungry as this food is filling and the portions are generous. Not open on a Monday. Open Evenings too. Good parking out front and two 10 minute parks by door to pick up takeaways.

After often going to Tony’s tonight we went to Kenzie for dinner
It was almost empty at 7:30 but we need not have been concerned
The food was superb
Decor was restrained and fitting. Very comfortable
We over ordered
The sashimi was great, the tempura prawns sold as shrimps excellent and the roll amazing
The mains also great but by that time we had run out of room
A great place to eat Japanese. We will be back

Have visited several times for eat in and takeaway and am always happy with the price and quality - as a sushi lover I love that all of their rolls are made fresh and are super generous portions. So delish! And lovely view of the estuary.
