visited on a very busy Saturday night and yet the service was excellent the staff knowledgeable and friendly. Good selection of pub food both on the menu and also some blackboard specials. I had the Thai green curry which was yummy and good value at $22 and my husband had an open chicken sandwich with fries also at $22. Both were tasty meals and good size portions. We have eaten here several times and always enjoyed our meals and the friendly service.

We tried out this pub as it is the local for some family members. The food was excellent. It is not just the usual pub grub as the menu is quite large and meals have a gourmet flair to them. The portions were huge and the price very reasonable. The pub is carefully divided into areas where patrons can just eat or just drink or both. The history of the pub and area is well displayed around the walls and the community clearly support their local.
Well worth a visit.

Haven't been here for a while so decided to go down for dinner....it was bloody nice. Tried the chilli cheese flatbread which was so yummy and bigger than expected. Then two of us got the valley burger which was a decent size, I asked for well cooked and it was I also ordered onion rings much tastier than the batter ones they used to have. Mum got beef schnitzel asked for well cooked and it was ...she really enjoyed it. The young lady looking after us was really nice too. Great improvement from a while back. 👍✅

Very disappointed. Have been there many times before and the vegetarian selection was always very limited so I was excited to finally see vege nachos available on the main menu. Unfortunately there were served cold (who knew you could have cold nachos) with plastic cheese squeezed from a tube, dollop of sour cream, avocado half a tomato and some spring onions. Not even any beans included. Blandest saddest vege nachos ever 😢

We are locals and have eaten here for many years and always had excellent food. I have been a great fan of their seafood chowder, which I always look forward to. However, on ordering the chowder this evening, which I note had been renamed as prawn and mussel chowder, I was disappointed to receive a bowl full of large chunks of celery and carrot in a rather tasteless and unseasoned cream broth with a few overcooked pieces of prawn and mussels. My wife had the gluten-free option of fish and chips, which was OK but again not up to the usual standard with the fish being rather dry, although the portions were good. If it wasn't for the excellent service from the wait and bar staff, I would have rated today's visit much lower. Food will need to improve before we visit again.

After a lovely morning out we were both hungry and found the Valley Inn Tavern. The tavern has a old world feel to it and the pictures on the walls tell the history of the building and the area.
The food was lovely and generous proportions.

I’ve lived locally for 7 years and have always meant to visit this pub but was told that it was an ‘old mans pub’.
Upon arrival it felt like a traditional pub in all aspects, the smell, the décor, the old historical photos on the wall, the TAB, the pokies, the on tap beer, the not so friendly or welcoming waitresses, the sticky old wooden learner tables and the clientele.
My friend had a salad and she picked all the ‘good bits out of it’.
The drinks we had were wet and reasonably priced.
Not a bad local if you are looking for those aspects mentioned above.

i had a birthday lunch at the Valley for 25 people Food was fantastic, nobody was waiting on their meal and Sandra & Blake and all the staff were great and really made my special day extra special. Feedback from my overseas relatives was how lucky are we to have this fabulous place as our local and we agree. Never fails. Thankyou very much

Dined here with a group and we were all pleased with our experience.
Ordered the fish and chips and it was fine.
Nice outdoor area,friendly staff and a relaxed feel to the place. I think they have new owners now.
Will be back for a few beers at some stage i would think.

About thirty of us went for Lunch (we had Booked a few days earlier) which was served quite quickly. Everything ran like clockwork. All of us enjoyed the food and many commented about the very good service.

Have been 3 times now, was lucky to be there for steak night this time, beautifully cooked med rare, mind you everything ive ordered here before is always beautiful.
Definitely consider myself a regular here now

We all thoroughly enjoyed our tea out tonight.. I had the chef special of a beef burger and fries and a side of onion rings (oh my god the onion rings) and then vanilla cheesecake, my partner had the same but have chocolate brownie and orange sorbet and my Mum had the beef schnitzel, salad and chips with gravy and raspberry ambrosia ... And wow what a meal..we were full and happy!!!
Atmosphere was relaxed.. Lots of older people which is great because it was more laid back.
Staff were great.. Always checking on us and making sure we were happy but not so much it gets annoying.
Definitely will be back!!!

We booked the Valley in for a 60th Birthday. We had a sheltered gazebo outside. The staff were very accommodating and made sure there was gas heaters and the bits and bobs we needed. Huge tree for kids to play on with rope swing.
Shared platters were super amazing. Priced for it but fed more than we expected. No one went hungry.
Very happy with the team and venue.

Taken by friends for lunch. Very welcoming and pleasant time overall. Great attention by serving staff. Food excellent (my husband had the ribs and thoroughly recommends them). I had the pork sliders (had to take two of them home, really good serving). Waitress relaxed and smiling, made you feel comfortable in the place. Will definitely go again.

Although an old Heathcote identity and establishment this tavern has been tastefully refurbished to provide very welcome and pleasant surroundings. A pleasing choice for out group lunch, made all the more enjoyable by the friendly and helpful staff. We also appreciated having a separate dining area. There was a good selection of traditional meals on the menu plus some lunch specials at a very reasonable price. The meals were also generous. Although tasty the pork roast was a little grisly and the crackling inedible. However, the vegetables were very well cooked. A little more gravy would have been nice. A very good seafood chowder which was thick and creamy, but too much chewy mussels. Overall we all enjoyed the meal and the venue.
Happy to return.
