The menu was really great, our lovely waitress recommended several small/vegetable plates and a couple of larger mains for our group. Everything was fresh, tasty & very enjoyable. Really good wine list as well. We will be back

We struggled to pick what we wanted as everything sounded great. Waiter recommended a bunch of small, medium and large plates and we loved it all. Great flavours and nice space. Good wine recommendations too.

From the moment we walked into the calm welcoming ambience of Barberra we sensed we were in for something special. Our waiter (sorry I forgot his name) was attentive and informative. The chef was relaxed and obviously at home in his well laid out open...kitchen, turning out plates and bowls of wonderful food. We had several small plates including the unexpectedly delicious frickle, a coated fried pickle. Plate after plate of thoughtful perfectly cooked food. Don't neglect the deserts, we had 2 to share as we couldn't pick. Recommended, you will not be disappointed.More

One of the most delicious meals I've had, the beef short rib was mind blowing, the atmosphere was very relaxed and the pacific decor was beautiful. Cocktail was lacking in size and ice ratio. but other than that we had a fantastic evening and went...home very happy and full!More

This is a very good Restaurant and we have had the priviledge of visiting Barberra a number of times. We have also taken 4 other couples to Barberra plus we have ourselves visited ourselves a number of times on our own as well. We have...never been disappointed as the food is very good, the serving staff too, are top notch but not intrusive in their work. It was the same this visit with the young man looking after us was very knowledgable and skilled. The atmosphere is one of the best, as in my view Barberra is the modern and classy replacement for Fine Dining today , with less fussy and not over the top service. A good point too is that Barberra has good parking right outselves on the street right next to the Restaurant which a nice change from most restaurants here in Christchurch where access to parking is both expensive and hard to find. I rate Barberra at the top end of dining here in Christchurch and would recommend people to try Barberra and see for themselves. A plug too for First Table which we use a lot when available. That way, -we get to try many new restaurants and cafes that we might not get to try otherwise.More

Food was wicked, as the atmosphere was also. Female server was wonderful do think the males should go work at a packing store, somewhere with perhaps less interaction or something 🙂 made to feel like a burden, just showed no interest which is a shame,...for that sake wont be back. cheers for great food non the lessMore
