Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had a lovely meal at Flint Restaurant. I had the lamb rump on a sizzling stone which was delicious and Mark had the lamb shank with mashed potatoes and vegetables, which was very good too. The staff were friendly and efficient. A good meal.

I had the seafood selection cooked on a hot stone. The produce was excellent and the accompanying chips were among the best I have ever had.

Arrived in Christchurch after travelling for 36 hours so needed food that was quick and convenient. This restaurant was just round the corner from the hotel. One of us had fish and chips and the other a mixed seafood grill. Both were delicious and the...chips were awesome! Massive portions! Tucked away in the Cathedral tramway station, it is worth winkling out.More

This restaurant has a mix of cuisines (european, oriental) and any dish has very good quality. We had beef on a hot stone and grilled salmon and both were delicious. To repeat!

We came here, just because we wakker by. It's an asian restaurant and a lot of asians we're eating there, so for us, that's a good sign! We had surf and turf on Stonegrill. Nice meat and fish, and fun to do as well. We...saw other people steaming sea food on there table, (build-in steamer) looked Fun as well! Only bad thing was desert. Not many options and i don't think they're home-made. So better take an entree rather than dessert.More

We were two, for lunch. We thought it was a japanese restaurant, and it kinda was, but not like any I've been to before. One of us had crispy chicken salad, and it was blah. The salad components felt like they'd come from a supermarket...salad bag and the chicken was overcooked. One of us had fish and chips, for want of seeing anything inspiring on the menu. The fries were edible but not memorable. The fish was two square commercial hoki fillets straight from the freezer, battered and deep fried to the point almost of dryness. The little side salad was as described above. Two young men came in, the only other patrons we saw, and they got steaks which arrived on sizzling stones. The steaks were very large, and if they weren't cooked to perfection at least the patrons could only blame themselves because they were their own cooks. Being in the Tram Junction, and right beside two hotels that have no dining, is undoubtedly what keeps this place alive, because I can't imagine anyone ever comes back for a second attempt.More
