Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We walked a few blocks from our hotel to find this place tucked into an office complex and it was quite busy. I see why...it was wonderful. We couldn't manage the din from the noise (hearing loss person in our party) so we sat in...the atrium just outside of the restaurant proper. It was perfect! The french toast is to die for! Find this place and eat here!More

Visited for breakfast twice during a work trip, nice selection of cabinet items as well as a full breakfast menu. Good coffee and really good eggs.

We have been coming to Westend for a couple of years now - in fact you can see my previous review down the page. We have celebrated two of my birthdays here as well as the birth of our son. We had also put many...friends onto this place. Unfortunately after the last few visits we will no longer be returning. I’m not sure if the chef has changed but over time portions have gotten smaller and smaller and no longer match the premium price they are charging. They weirdly cheap out on some things like only serving one egg on a dish instead of two, so you have to pay extra if you want a normal brunch. The last straw was our most recent visit. My husband ordered the risotto and when it arrived we both just stared at each other… a thin layer of rice was smeared on the plate with a thin piece of lamb on top. I would expect this for a small entree, not a $25 main. My husband then told me he had seen someone else receive theirs which was much bigger and served in a bowl. We could only presume they were running low and decided to spread it out on a plate to maybe look bigger?? It shouldn’t have been served in this case. The other big issue is the spice level of things has gone crazy, I ordered the eggs bene recently and actually started coughing when I ate the rosti, it was so hot! It’s never been like this before but when I told the waitress she didn’t seem to fully believe me, despite the 6 people at our table having tried it and all agreed. I haven’t wanted to risk ordering it since to see if it’s a permanent change. The fried chicken was also so hot recently my husband could only just eat it, and he enjoys spicy food. Another thing to note is an iced latte costs $3 more than a hot one, I don’t like when places do this just to give me a cold version of the same drink! It doesn’t have ice cream etc so there is no reason. Credit where it’s due, the waffle has been nice still the last two visits and decent size. The dark haired waitress who has worked there a long time is also consistently good. Unfortunately that’s not enough to keep us coming back any longer, we have made our last visit to Westend Stories.More

Had a booking for 9.00 Father’s Day breakfast. Waited fo 10 to 15 minutes before being served, had to ask for menu’s. When we booked were were not advised it was a smaller Father’s Day menu. Our daughter is vegetarian so not a lot of choice....Ordered a croissant which was the sold before our meals arrived. Finally was offered 2 peices of toast and butter and the after all that still charged us for the toast. Will never step foot in their door again, horrible experience and felt sorry for my kids whom took my wife and I. Regards GregMore

Returned for a second visit today and was very happy to find it lived up to our first. Excellent service from lovely staff. A great menu with plenty of gluten free options (and nice that they check if you are celiac or just gf when...ordering these). Food is awesome, the flavours are just fantastic. Coffee was great too. Really just an all round excellent place that is now on our regular brunch list!More

Went today to catch up with girlfriends and took along my 8 month old daughter. I needed to change her nappy so went to the bathroom only to find I needed a code. Took staff a long time to remember that. So juggling a baby...in one hand and opening the coded door not easy. Only to find there is no baby change table. I don’t think I’ve ever come across a food establishment without one. So it was cold and not particularly clean tiles or outside the cafe on the grassed wet area. I opted for the grass for hygiene reasons. When food was served i asked for a high chair. One arrived but no tray table attached and no harness. My daughter managed to remove her leg from the straps between her legs holding her in and moved it into the same hole. I catcher her just as she was slipping out. Service and food was good but I’d really like to see some tweeks to make it slightly more baby friendly.More

We came here post-lockdown for our first brunch outing and I'm so glad we did. I thought the menu was excellent - way more interesting than the boring classics you get at every old cafe. Lots of middle eastern and Mediterranean inspired dishes. We got...the shwarma bowl and the fried chicken waffle and absolutely loved them. Our only comment would be that the fried chicken was very spicy so if you're into that then you'll be fine. We loved the service, the vibe and the prices. Will definitely be back again soon!More

I went here for a lunch with workmates today. The food was delicious and really well thought out. There were plenty of vegetarian options and the food was presented beautifully. Portions felt relatively small for the cost but I was full after 2 courses (and...I'm very greedy). I'd also really praise Westend Stories for a very, very good choice of soft drinks. Forget the standard coke/lemonade etc, this place has some beautiful juices along with 'grown up' soft drinks like sparkling elderflower. Food took a while to come, with several people in our group getting food at quite different times. It was a busy lunchtime, though. Service was friendly and had some nice touches like our waiter introducing himself.(Thanks, Alistair!)More

Nice place albeit a little corporate. The food, however, is extremely tasteless and pretty overpriced. Lots of better options in town!
