I wanted to try something new, thought my nana had already been here before and she didn’t have a great experience. I took a look at the online menu and it sounded quite nice so I convinced her to give it another go. It was nice, nothing really special though they did have a good range of gluten free, dairy free, and vegan options. I got the vegan custard slice, which was okay, and the green smoothie. I didn’t love the smoothie but I think that was just my taste, refreshing at least. My nana got the cappuccino, and a muffin (not sure which one) that came with butter. The muffin was massive but I tried some and it was quite tasty.

$40 for steak. Steak was nice but the sides with it were not generous and the gravy too salty ( you can buy side dishes but at $40 you don’t expect the need) Restaurant is a bit sparse lacking in atmosphere but the live music is good, and staff friendly Okay place .. but short of special

Food good, service not

Good food, good coffee, but the service or one particular young lady is what lets this place down. Certainly not the first time I noticed it, but this actually put a dampener on my mood. What a shame. I’ll go elsewhere next time.

Disappointing Everything, 24/7

Booked a group lunch with pre-ordered menus choices. The first meal arrived after 45 minutes and the last after an hour. People arriving randomly were served and had left before our table saw a single meal. No updates from the staff or kitchen. No apologies for the delay. Top price for Christchurch cafe food, but below average quality. I am trying to be fair, but there is nothing to recommend this cafe. Save your cash and eat at MacDonalds. At least you’ll know what you’re getting and when.

Poor service

Very long wait for takeaway coffees. Was told 10 minute wait which turned into 25 minutes. No apology. Staff seemed flat out, and lots of them, but coffees were very slow. Another customer who came in after me, who knew the staff member making the coffee, got their drinks straight away.

Disappointing visit. Cashier was very slow. Didn't know who had ordered which item of counter food on table delivery. Quite expensive. Kumara rosti very ordinary but savoury muffin was good. Glassware needs a polish before coming to the table.

I've been her for coffee in the past and its been Ok. Today we had breakfast and coffee The breakfast was poor. eggs and toast with the addition of mushrooms that were dry and tasteless. The big breakafast was eggs an some tasteless and poorly prepared hashbrowns and sausage with dry bacon The service was terrible. After patiently waiting for our coffee, as we were warned it was slow, I eventually went to the conter to enquire. Staff advised us that they couldn't find us - at the table with the label on a stick that wed been provided with. The tone was as if it was our fault - so they just parked the coffees on the bench. s Strangely the food and another cold drink seperately got to us without any issues. b But the attitude and excuse was utter rubbish poor food and really poor service

Sometimes great, sometimes bad. Loved the live music nights but they are gone :( They need a new muffin recipe as the ones I have are always stodgy. Excellent bread for sale

Went here for brunch on the weekend. Food was about the right price ($20-$25pp) but it came within 10 minutes and tasted as if it was just a few hours fresh. Will definetly go back again

I had lambs fry for the first

I had lambs fry for the first time in years here yesterday-one of my fav dishes, I’m Always nervous ordering-it was totally devine! With home made hash brown gravy bacon and mushrooms, super fresh and fast service, I didn’t want it to end!!

Morning coffee

Have visited cafe in the past, decided to try again, has certainly gone downhill since last visit, food is average and not as ordered, is overpriced and manager on the day had no idea of customer service. So many other options now in the vicinity, so will exercise my discretion in the future

Group of cruise ship at Akaroa

I eat here regularly and have never bothered to do a review, the fish and chips is always reliable, and nice fish usually Gurnard. When I was asked by a group I was looking after off a cruise ship, they said they wanted something nice, and of course I wanted somewhere easy to park outside the door, so decided to try ten27, as I was reasonably confident they would be happy. It was a great choice, they thought the food was the best they had had in NZ, and I thought you should know that. They said the lamb special was excellent. I had the fish and chips, and I realised I need to be more careful in my ordering, because I didnt want any dressing, and the salad was drenched in dressing

Lovely Brunch with Friends

We booked for brunch here with friends, we received a lovely warm greeting and were shown immediately to our table. Drinks were offered immediately and brought out quickly. It was a nice distraction whilst we waited our friends arrival. We found the menu rather lovely and nothing was too much trouble for our lovely waiter. All of our meals came out correct and hot, well mine wasn't but then I was having salad! We found the portions generous and the food was delicious. The service was good too, whenever we wanted something additional the service was immediate. We sat on a while over coffee and felt very comfortable doing so
