Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Recently visited little high eatery. The precinct was very busy, and eightgrains seemed a popular place. The service and wait times were excellent. The food was amazing. We had the pork and chive dumplings, pork steam buns, and chicken slider. Delicious, especially the slider. We...couldn't fault this, and would highly recommend.More

Delish Bao and customer service was good despite it being very busy! Roast duck was good but would have been better with some sort of sauce. Overall really decent place to eat in Ōtautahi!

Love the food here. They are based in what is like a restaurant food court. Great size and I believe value for money. I always need to take a doggie bag home. They do from dumplings and bao bubs to bowls and noodle dishes.

Good selection of Asian food. I had the dumpling 🥟 selection/platter. Nice to be able to at least four different dumplings. (A little expensive perhaps 🤔, but tasty and authentic). Staff were very friendly.

Today my friend and I just wanted a bite to eat after a busy day. I had no idea what to get so I chose the apple mango cinnamon rolls with house gelato. I was already pumped about getting to pick which gelato I wanted...with them (you have to try their strawberry cheesecake flavour) but when they came out they were the most beautiful dessert I have ever laid eyes on! And I consider myself to be a dessert connoisseur. They were almost too pretty to eat but I'm glad I ate them because my tastebuds were in paradise! Whoever your chef is, tell them they are doing an amazing job. I will be thinking about this dessert all day tomorrow <3More

Okay dumpling spot in a cool food hall. Eightgrains has a platter that I thought was fun. Overall it was a bit underwhelming though.

I have been here many times. Highly recommend the Taiwanese braised pork belly. It’s my favourite and if you like it a bit spicy add some of their chilli oil. And the vegetarian dumplings are surprisingly delicious too. The staff are quite friendly.

Early dinner for us arrived just before 530. Easy to find a table. Ordered tasting plate of dumpings, wontons, and chicken rice noodles. We shared with our 4 year old daughter who loved it. Will definitely be back. When we left an hour later it...was muxh busier with people waiting for tables.More

We had some tasty soup dumplings and noodles here for dinner. The noodles were in a very large portion, so we didn't leave hungry, In general, we loved the Little High Street concept and atmosphere and ate dinner at Little High Street twice during a...four day trip.More

They had a vegan option for every section of the menu which was amazing, and the tempura vege bao was so tasty but a wee bit steep ($9 for one). The vegan dumplings ($15 for a dozen) had a bland filling so I wouldn’t recommend...them however overall the vegan offering was impressiveMore
