this is the only place that I recommend for Pekiing Duck in town. I am going for dinner today. Peking duck is oily, but it is nothing to do with the 'deep fryer'. The SECRET of the delicious Peking duck comes from every step of...its preparation. From the selected duck meat, the secret marinade, with the catalyst of time. Of course, what quality wood to use is also the key. Pine or oak? Although I am not a professional chef, I have a unique insight into food.More

Came here just for Peking Duck as I had had in Myanmar and loved it. For $65 you are meant to get a whole duck plus pancakes and veges. Unfortunately you only get the skin with very little of the meat which actually was very...good. The duck had been put in the deep fryer so very....oily!! Should of asked what was happening to all the actual duck meat left on duck!!!More

Have been customer for years. Always great food and good service. This is our go to restaurant when we want authentic Chinese food. It feels like mom and dad preparing and serving your food. We love the family feel every time we are here. It’s...on the busy Riccarton rd but inside this tiny restaurant is so peaceful and calm feeling. Price is very affordable. Must try, I fully recommend this hidden gem.More

The duck skin was so crunchy as it should be. The ducks were properly prepared, unlike the last duck we had in Wanaka. The price of $60 NZ was for whole duck which was too much food for the 2 of us. The stir fried...veggies were also perfectly prepared. This is a cute and quaint comfortable place with soothing oriental music. The facade is deceiving, but really nice inside. Don’t miss this place!More

We walked past one Sunday afternoon and just decided to walk in and try it out. We have been twice now and I love it. The lady who looks after you is so funny and charming which just adds to a fantastic experience. Had a...few different dishes which are very flavourful and well portioned. I enjoy the duck and pork dishes but to be honest everything we have tried has been spot on. I think it is a hidden gem and definitely worth a very visit. We will definitely keep returning back for a great meal and authentic experience.More

Recommended to us by a Chinese friend we had to try this out for a family dinner and was not disappointment. We were all very impressed and happy with everything. The place seems to be run by a mum and dad couple and they have...decorated the restaurant in very nicely. We ordered two ducks for the seven of us and it was the perfect amount with the three course option. Was very reasonable in cost too, $83 for a duck cooked three ways. Loved how the chef wheeled the ducks over to our table to carve.More

I always come here mostly at lunch time because their menu is affordable for someone who can't really spend too much on dining and it is not too crowded as well. The foods are excellent, freshly cooked and tasty. All that I have ordered or...have eaten so far are great. The lady who always serves us is always cheerful and accomodating and would always ask we enjoyed the meal. I keep coming back to this cozy restaurant almost every other week.More

The food is excellent, fresh cooked and served very fast, green tea is always very convenient to sip on while waiting for your food. Definitely recommend "yum cha" at lunch. This place is so good while you are greeted by a very nice lady. The...food is so good we have been over 20 times for sure.More

Great little Chinese restaurant in Riccarton. Specialising in Peking Duck. Restaurateur Cliff is a great guy, have a chat and get the low down on quality authentic Chinese food in Christchurch

We came for dinner on a Wednesday night. We were greeted with warm friendly smiles. Duck was delicious and carved in front of us. Great evening for a fair price. Will be back!
