Excellent winery restaurant. Beautiful covered courtyard setting. Relaxed atmosphere with an enjoyable range of local produce (lamb, mussels, etc.). My lamb dish was tender and flavourful. Mussels were served in a delightful Thai staple coconut milk broth. Harissa roasted carrots gave a nice kick to the lamb dish. Service is pleasant and relaxed; not a place to rush through lunch.

I haven’t been here for a long time. It was a delight to eat some really tasty and creative food. It’s always a good sign when the fish is fresh and perfectly cooked. All accompanied with some tasty wine. Setting is indoor/outdoor very intimate and relaxing. Friendly service. Well done to all.

I absolutely loved this setting, wines and bistro. The venue offers so many different seating areas to suit everyone - bean bags on the lawn, big rustic bench tables for large parties, round or square tables under umbrellas - inside or out, bench seating along edges. It is so casual you could also make your own picnic space on the lawn. The bistro menu is casual food and yet it was still flash, offering burgers, fries and starter style food, as well as a more substantial plated lunch. Appreciated the larger menu that offered something for everyone and great menu for kids also. Child/family friendly spaces, lots of activities to occupy yourselves or your children with. I appreciated the cleverly designed spaces with pillars, planting or discreet glass that broke up the spaces and made it quieter and more private, considering the number of people that could be catered for. Also really appreciated the spaces that offered protection from the sun but still felt like you were outside. The service at the tables was prompt and also quick to clear away dishes.

We chose to end our bluff to blenheim girls cycle trip at this vineyard restaurant in blenheim. Having been here previously following the graperide cycle race, and having had a sublime experience we thought we knew what we were getting. Very very different experience on this occasion. Firstly, the service in the restaurant was chaotic, verging on fawltyesque occasionally, inspiring some conspiratorial guffawing. There were only 3 sets of customers in the restaurant, 2 couples, and our group of 6 ladies. Instead of table service we repeatedly went to the counter to order food and were constantly, repeatedly, hilariously asked what our table number was. For goodness sake! Getting drinks for the table required individual multiple trips to a pay as you go vending type operation, whose advantage was tasting opportunities, but whose disadvantages were toing and froing all the time by all of us. Not super relaxing. The food was very disappointing. A cold smoked salmon salad with (extra) halloumi was a bag of mesclun with packet salmon, an addition of a few fennel strands and an embarrassingly thin couple of halloumi slices. I could do better at home myself. In fairnesss, some food was nice but the menu (recently changed) was uninspiring....sort of pub food style. There was a new member of staff who tried hard but more established staff needed an more welcoming attitude...we were made to feel an encumbrance. All in all a very disappointing end to a great girls cycle trip through NZ.

Visited the restaurant on 5th January with a group of nine. The restaurant is sectioned into lots of little relatively private spaces, so although busy, didn’t feel like being in a cafeteria. We were seated upstairs in a beautiful private room, ideal for our toddler Our waitress was attentive and efficient, and explained the menu well. Most ordered the set menu which had choices of entrees, mains and desserts. The food was very well presented and wonderfully tasty The strawberry desert was excellent. A wonderful experience, definitely another visit is required

Pretty relaxed food service but well forewarned so we just chilled with our excellent wine. Food generally good but the consensus on the cheese board was “What? Why so small?” Three slivers for NZD 30 which is about the price of two mains. Then to rub it in a platter went past with much more generous portions. “We weigh them. 30g each piece” my arse. Not particularly happy. So. Don’t order the cheese platter. It’s a rip.

With this restaurant just opening up again for the winter We called in yesterday The place was busy and plenty of staff to assist. We were greeted by a nice young gentleman who told us what table to go to. Bought around the menus and the drinks list. We chose the clams etc All the meals were very nice and the bottle of wine we chosen fitted with courses we had . A tad cold with the wind blowing through but we didnt mind A lovely setting well spaced out tables We will be back

We had lunch here - the food was very good, ditto the wine as you would expect. Then my husband ordered an affogato without the liqueur. On the menu it was priced at $17 with your choice of liqueur included. Our server told him we'd still be charged $17 even without the liqueur. Pretty greedy, especially when every other time we've ordered affogato without liqueur it's been priced lower, plus we'd explained we were driving. Disappointing but I guess they see it as an easy way to bump up the profit margins. We didn't have the affogato and probably won't be back in a hurry.

We had a lovely lunch here..I had the mussels and my wife had the calamari. Both were excellent. I loved the Thai influenced sauce with the mussels. The local Pinot Gris was lovely too. The service was attentive and the setting in the winery courtyard is hard to beat.

I would highly recommend choosing this venue for a private function. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was great. It suited a wide variety of people and they provided generous portions of each dish. The wine, of course, was superb. The venue was spacious.

We had a lovely family lunch seated upstairs in a private area of the restaurant. The servers were attentive and knowledgeable, and the food was stunning all round. Advice for other diners: They do have a children's menu but you may have to ask for it. There are only two toilets for the entire restaurant so be aware you may have to queue. I would suggest the restaurant removing the gendered labels as they are separate private cubicles anyway - this should speed up the queue. Overall it was a perfect experience and we felt very welcome with our children. We will recommend this restaurant to family & friends. Pictures are of the Cloudy Bay Clams and the Espresso Martini Brûlée (great flavours!).

What a team - fantastic experience from planning to finish! Gathering of 16 family and friends to celebrate a special birthday. The staff met our every need from the very friendly welcome and making sure we had everything we needed. Our group were seated in private area and the food served was incredible with meals arriving to each guest in a timely manner. The venue is very attractive and the staff were there to please - well done.

Was looking forward to the menu choices after reviewing the menu online(e.g. seafood chowder). Arrived to be told the online menu was outdated since the Scott family sold the business..(not sure when). Nothing like the updated menu, and was told they cannot delete the online menu…even after so many people comment that it is nothing like the paper menu. So decided to play it safe and order the bread entree and pork belly. The bread was bland, and the coconut butter was tasteless. Half our drinks order didn’t arrive until 20 minutes into the meal, and only after asking twice…. The pork belly was terrible, most of it was white gluey fat sitting in a fatty base….maybe 10 per cent was meat. Needless to say, most of the belly remained on the plate. The veges were beautifully cooked but had to keep dipping in the pork fat residue to sop up the balsemic (?)….just such a shame overall for a renowned destination…the lowlight of our four days in Marlborough

Came here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch, was pretty busy but we were able to get a table. Really beautiful setting, had one of their lovely white wines (Sauvignon Blanc). I had the pork belly which was really lovely and melt in your mouth (although I did miss there not being any crackling). My partner had the seafood chowder which was tasty and creamy. The lamb, which I saw pass me lots, looked incredible! We both had the Italian trifle which was amazing!! Highly recommend this place.

Biking through the wine region was enhanced by a terrific lunch at Scott winery. The chef is fantastic, service friendly, and the patio setting a delight. The menu creatively features local offerings, and there is something for everyone, and reasonably priced. I've been in NZ a month now and this was the best meal yet!
