Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a cool place - me and my partner couldn’t stop looking and talking about all the stuff on the walls - his personal favourite was the bathroom sign 😂 staff were so friendly, food was delicious, selection of drinks was fab and we even...got to take home a rigger of my favourite drink 🫶🏼More

Second visit after the perfect meal the first. Again the food was excellent and large portions, set in the beautiful beer garden with great service. The lovely lady behind the bar remembered us from over a month ago. Highly recommended for any occasion. I can't...wait to return!😊👍More

It was a bit of a walk from the town centre but we were delighted we made the effort - a fantastic selection of beers and good quality food. I had a pizza with a tasting tray of 5 beers which is a great way...to try the different varieties of ale on offer. My wife ordered the spaghetti which was a huge bowlful that i helped her with :)More

On first arrival in Blenheim, we had been rather unimpressed with the range of restaurant options on offer in the town. So changing our focus to pubs, we were absolutely delighted to discover this wonderful establishment with its amazing array of high quality German beers...on tap, a varied NZ & European food menu, a lovely beer garden, and great atmosphere. When they came, our meals were so good, and so well prepared and presented, that the term “pub food” fails to do justice to them . And such big portions! Definitely the best, most generous and best-value gulasch that I have ever had, anywhere in the world, including Germany and Austria. We came back the following evening, and would have come three nights running, had the pub not been closed on our third evening in town. Wonderful!More

A last-minute call to see if our large group could dine on a Saturday night was accommodated with a happy response. Casual dining and a great beer selection was what were looking for and it was perfect. Menu covered food from Germany, Italy and favourites...from New Zealand. The food was delicious! The adults lemonade was to die for! 😉 Can highly recommend this venue. Can't wait to visit again in the Summer so we can experience the outside beer garden.More

Great German beer garden, pub, and pizza place. It's the backyard of Rennaissance Brewery, with a great selection of craft beer on tap and very tasty pizza. Very friendly staff as well. Go for Pizza Sofia if vegetarian, delicious. Prost!

We visited Dodson Street to celebrate a significant birthday. A great range of brands and types of beer. Food was delicious and having advised in advance of my dietary requirements, Dietmar and his team accommodated them willingly. Decent sized meals which didn't take to long...to come out. Bar and table staff were friendly, Dietmar stopped by our table and had a good chat - a really enjoyable night out. Great atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.More

Recommended by a friend, so we caught up with her there for a couple of drinks and dinner. A good range of beers on tap and the food was great. Staff service was good and the price very reasonable for what we had. Pizza, a...couple of burgers and fries and none of us left hungry! Quite a few people there so seemed a popular place.More
