I went in and asked for a glass of melot. The people were nice and the man said a half or full glass, i said full. The man gave it to me and then said it was the only one they had and that it...was a bit expensive and then proceeded to charge me $24.90, i hadn't touched it and asked if i could not get it and he said no. He did come outside and offer another glass but i had to be somewhere, i said they should let the customer know if its going to cost that much not just do you want a half or full glass. It really shocked me and ruined what had been a great day.More

What a fun experience. Got the pleasure of attention from Mel during a quiet December afternoon with exceptional knowledge and expertise. A great way to experience a range of wines. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Went into the train station waiting room . . . . . . and found a wine bar and cafe! What a bonus. The coffee was great, the tastings were generous and the staff welcoming, friendly and keen to show off the Marlborough region and...their business. The morning tea snacks were delicious also. The toilets were spotless too. It was such a good way to be welcomed to, and depart from the Marlborough region. Thanks. CateMore

Brilliant place. Have been twice now..you can have wine tastings on various wines from the vast selection they have. You choose how much you want to spend. Very popular. There is a small choice of food in the cabinet. A lovely way to spend a...few hoursMore

We booked a table for the four of us on a Friday evening, and what a good decision this proved to be. We spent a very pleasant couple of hours trying a whole range of different wines (half a glass of each) and grazing on...all four of the platters on offer (bread and dips, cheese, charcuterie and fish). There were examples of a wide range of wine styles available, with only the one example of some (such as gewurtztraminer) while there were plenty of some other varieties, such as Sauvignon Blanc. The platters were tasty, the service friendly and helpful, and the space in the old railway station added character to the experience. In addition to the core business of wine and platters, there were a few sweet offerings in a cabinet and a range of local foodie items and gifts. Plenty of parking outside in the large carpark. A great addition to the range of temptations and pastimes on offer for visitors to the Marlborough region.More

This wine bar/ restaurant is excellent. A huge wine selection with other refreshment options also available. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. You need to see haw you select your glasses of wine, worth a visit on its own, I will be back.

We received a voucher for The Wine Station as part of a hotel package we bought. It was a warm environment with a fire and arm chairs. Not a typical wine tasting experience - using vending-type machines, but it was a lot of fun and...the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about their wines. Good way to taste a variety from many Marlborough Vineyards. We also had a very nice cheese board. No hard sell at all, just good hospitality - we will be recommending to friends. I believe busy when cruise ships are in so now is a good time for Kiwis to go and enjoy!More

Partner and I popped in to have a wine or two. Mel who worked there was the loveliest woman ever. She was so clued up about all the local wines. We were still learning about what exactly we liked. And she helped us taste a...whole range to try narrow down to what we enjoyed most. Reasonably priced and incredible wine with perfect service. If I'm ever in Blenheim again will 100% be going backMore

We arrived here at the end if the day as a recommended place to try wine from the smaller vineyards who don’t have cellar doors. Comfy seats , warm - could have settled in for the night. Friendly service. It was close to closing time...but they let us linger as we tried news wines and brought a lovely cuppa for the driver. Made good recommendations. A good place to visit and use their expertise. Would love it to be open in the evening as such a relaxing vibe.More

Nice converted railway station selling food platters, barista coffee, craft beers, artisan market products, and most importantly 80 local wines on tap. You leave them a credit card and in exchange you get a card which you insert in any of the machines and pour...a tasting sample, a small glass, or a large glass of any of the wines you fancy. The card records whatever you have tasted and how much you need to pay. An interesting way to taste a number of wines, but not the same as tasting at a cellar door where the staff can talk you through the wines.More
