Don’t get me wrong the food was good. However We ordered food for 4 using their online system. We ordered at 5:45 for a 6:20 pickup when we arrived to collect our meals they weren’t ready and we had to wait until 6:45 before they...were ready. No apologies for it being late, just here’s your meals.More

We reserved a table while staying in the wine growing region of Marlborough fancying some different food. The menu is extensive and caters for all tastes. We were shown to a nice table and the room felt cozy and welcoming. We both had the Stuffed...Mushrooms to start which were perfectly cooked to retain their firmness whilst being stuffed with mild Asian South Indian spice. Yum! My Aubergine/Eggplant Masala was delicious and the herbs/ spices included Ginger Onions and tomatoes in a Coconut cream sauce served with Pilau rice. The flavours were perfectly balanced. My husband had the Chettinadu Chicken Curry and was asked how spicey he would like it. He asked For mild and that is exactly what turned up! There is a reasonable choice of wine although a little more choice would be good as they are in a wine growing region.....especially by the glass. The service was excellent and I would recommend this venue. The take away service was also very busy.More

While the individual dishes are a bit more expensive than most Indian restaurants the additional little salad, popadoms and offer of more rice for free means that over all they are good value. They were offering 10% discount when we went making it excellent value!...The service is friendly, prompt and knowledgeable. Meals arrived quickly. The dishes had a lot of subtle flavours and weren’t too spicy. The mango lassi was great. The venue is a pleasant place and the background music is not intrusive.More

We found the Tamarind online and were delighted to eat here. We found all the dishes very generous and tasty. We had not tried Dosa before and decided it was something we would definitely eat again. Our wait person was great, informative and friendly. The...Tamarind is certainly worth a visit when you are in Blenheim.More

Googled Indian restaurants in Blenheim and Tamarind came up trumps. Originally had a table of 6 which became 10 when we invited others at short notice. Had a fabulous meal and everyone loved the food. Very friendly staff and we were offered a discount as...they are looking for more table bookings during these tough times because of Covid 19. Come on everyone, let's support this restaurant. We all reside in Wellington but loved this place. Tell your friends, family, and work associates about this gem of a restaurant.More

A friend brought us to this restaurant on our 1 night in Blenheim. The dosa was crisp and tasty, the coconut prawn masala was delicious but the tamarind special chicken was not a hit at all. Service was good even though they were short staffed....Would come back to try more dishes.More

We took TripAdvisors advice that the Marsala Dosa was great. It was fabulous and so were all the dishes ordered. Friendly service, the owner takes pride in his restaurant and the quality of the food. Strongly recommended
