Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We'll definitely return to this authentic greek experience cafe tucked away in the suburb of Kilburnie in Wellington. An impressive and excellent range of "home made" snacks and treats make this very special. Perfect? ... maybe not ... but that's part of its authenticity. Run...by the owner this place deserves support. If you value integrity and honesty in your choice of cafe go here. We had a couple of the meat pastries and finished up sharing baklava. Fantastic.More

Oh my gosh, this place is amazing. The minute I walked in the door I felt like I was back in Greece just looking at all the food and assortment of products. The food was so amazing, and the service was amazing. The prices are...so reasonable. This is going to be one of my go-to places when I visit family here. We celebrated my son's birthday here, it was so poignant as he is half-Greek.More

We stop off here regularly to top up on a few Mediterranean essentials, not least of which is the delicious Baklava. Don’t think I’ve tasted a better one anywhere else in the world. You must give it a try!

We dropped by and checked out the menu and the cabinet. All good but missing a favourite - galaktoboureko - the perfect custard pastry combo. As luck would have it there was some freshly made that hadn't got into the cabinet. Yes please and two...Greek coffees. Just the best. Thank you for changing a damp Sunday into something fabulous!More

We are coming all the way from Lower Hutt just to have a meal and coffee. The food is simply wonderful and the atmosphere is the best - intimate and friendly. Service is also on par - efficient and courteous. Many regulars use it as...catching up club on weekends. Overall, if you are after authentic Greek flavors in cosy family setting, you will be hard pressed to find better. Thank you, thank you, wonderful team at Taste of Greece for giving Wellington an opportunity to access all the deliciousness you have to offer. Till we meet again soon.More

On a hot day in Welly sitting in this restaurant we could almost drift away and imagine that we were sitting on an island overlooking the Aegean surround by all these culinary delights. The cafe/shop has everything you could ever need to whip up a...Greek dish but for those without the necessary skills they do it for you with some great options available on their menu. I went for the $15 chicken souvlaki meal which came with a salad and pita. All really well cooked and delicious. Topped it all off with a few pieces of Baklava which was sensational. Defo recommended to anyone in Welly and I can’t wait to go back myself.More

We LOVE this place! The home made pastries in the pie warmer are delicious - my joint favourits are tiropita (four cheese) and spanokopita (spinach and leek). We have also had the home made meals (takeaway) - delicious, and the baklava is divine. I love...this place and every time I'm there l feel I've been transported to a little back street in Greece.More

Great for its location. Food is good and an average cafe for the price. We will come back soon for the coffee and sweets.

We had the Chicken Souvlaki followed by Greek Doughnuts. Wow! The plate of food for lunch was a good sized portion and very reasonably priced. The Greek doughnuts was an added treat and also reasonably priced.

Absolutely lovely little place crammed full of Greek delicacies and souvenirs. Helen and George are very friendly and helpful and their food is delicious. Mainly a takeout place with very limited seating but they get top marks from us. Love their food.

All the food is traditional Greek food, even the coffee is made Greek style I now have eaten there three times and tried different food each time. My favorite was the Greek soup with meat balls in it. I am not sure what Helen uses...to flavor the soup, but it tastes amazing The entire shop is full of all things Greek, there is a huge selection of ingredients and foods that you can buy, also lots of other Greek items. The service is really friendly, makes you want to go back multiple times.More
