I had been to Whitebait before it was refurbished and the menu format had been changed. I preferred the original format. There are now only two dining options - a choice of 4 dishes for $98 or the $120 degustation menu. The food was very...More

I booked this restaurant knowing it was one of Wellington’s better restaurants but not really knowing much about it. The menu is not your typical menu. There is a degustation option or you can create your own menu degustation menu from the options. You can...More

An early dinner of the 4 course option was outstanding. A Scandinavian feel to the menu which was innovative and delicious. Secret extra courses surprised. Delightful staff with the right mix of friendliness and expertise

This restaurant was absolutely exceptional and exquisite — from the relaxed, comfortable ambience to the wonderful staff and menu. We were served by an American waitress who was faultless. Couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience!

From a beautiful decor, to wonderful service, to amazing dishes, this is truly and outstanding restaurant! Fine dining, great seafood, and even extras thrown in. Perhaps the best dining experience in our week in New Zealand!

I have been to this restaurant many times and have never been wowed by it but this latest visit was beyond disappointing. We went shortly after it had reopened after renovations and the first surprise (disappointment) was the menu. You only had two set choices,...More

Not sure sorry, all depends on where the fireworks are let off from. I would suggest telephoning Whitebait and asking them directly.
