We were looking for a place that had some good vegetarian dishes for Friday night dinner with friends. Having walked past Zibibbo many times we decided to give it a try. The very friendly French-born waiter was very helpful. The Wairarapa Lamb Rump was very tasty and my friend enjoyed his duck leg. Vegetarians are well catered for as there... More

We have been to Zibibbo several times, and been delighted. We chose this restaurant for my father's special birthday hiring one of the two private rooms. Everything was perfect from the start. The food was delicious, the service impeccable, and the wines perfectly matched with the food. Above all everything was so easy from start to finish nothing was to... More

Lonely meal for a set menu. Desserts were a selection of tapas and mains were just scrumptious. Our main waiter Gareth was attentive, friendly and went out of his way to make our friends dinner party a success.

Were directed here from our hotel as most restaurants we wanted to visit were closed on a Monday night. Unfortunately we took the recommendation however in retrospect wonder how a hotel employee would be able to afford the bill. This is the kind of food NZ was eating over 20 years ago but unfortunately not at 1990 prices. Please....just because... More

Oh my goodness - the food was outstanding. We had tapas to share - generous portions and really yummy, then I had lamb rump which was meltingly delicious. My husband had the pork belly and didn't talk once as he devoured it!Had absolutely no space for anything else. Service was good, efficient, friendly and funny. All round excellent!

Zibibbo never disappoints. We've been a few times over the years - but this time the service was exceptional to match the consistently delicious food. Gareth was our waiter and he was attentive and went out of his way to satisfy my crem brûlée craving, which disappointedly is no longer on the dessert menu. It is however on the shared... More

Went for a nice late dinner and was incredibly happy with the food and the prices (especially for the quality of the food) weren't that unreasonable but the hindrance was the service (wait staff; kitchen was perfectly on point). Would especially recommend the dessert tapas (perfect for a date dinner, which this was) and the triple cooked fries (a side... More

We had a late dinner and chose the special of the day which was pork cheeks cooked in the sous vide with parsnip crisps. The meal was beautifully presented, the pork was tender and the flavours delicious. Dessert was a chocolate mousse with raspberry macaron - again presentation was outstanding with tiny pipings of chocolate, caramel and meringue on the... More

With a trip into town to 'catch some Sushi at "Catch" we spotted an empty carpark immediately outside the doorway to Zibibbo's with a sandwich boards advertising fresh Bluff Oysters. So our plans changed from that point - the downstairs bars staff offered us two well made Vodka Martini's (although they could have been a little dryer) - we sat... More

I visited this restaurant about 4 years ago and was looking forward to a return visit, it did not disappoint. I was one person of a group of 6 people, we all decided to start with the tapas appetizer, so we order two 3-person tapas platters, it was a fun start to the meal with some excellent selections. I continued... More
