Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife and I are on a Road Scholar tour of NZ and having a free evening, found Little India nearby. Influenced by its excellent reviews, we decided to try it. It met and exceeded our expectations. We shared two appetizers: a delightfully light and crisp order of Pakoras and Brel Puri (a common street food in Bombay). Both were delicious. My wife has some food intolerances which were easily accommodated. We then shared a main of lamb saagwala, a spicy stew of spinach and lamb. A nice NZ Chardonnay provided the right accompaniment. If you’re in Wellington, try Jugnu’s Little India.

The lamb kadai was very good, the Biryani was stodgy & amateurish, I've made better myself! The manageress was rude when I was in the middle of paying for the meals, she kept trying to talk to somebody else & kept ignoring me! Would not go again.

This beautiful small restaurant on Cuba street was a gem of a place. Number 1 was outstanding high quality food and eqogreat friendly service. The owner waited on us and explained that everything is made from the scratch. Funny… he must have guessed our age and played vintage Indian songs by Lata and Rafi. We had Papadams Amritsari Fish Pakora, Lamb Ashish Ka and andDal Tadka. Everything was so delicious. OMG while enjoying the music and going after the great food the owner was whistling following the background tunes. We will go there todand tomorrow before we say goodbye Wellington. We are here for 2023 Women’s World Cup.

Our dining experience was amazing. We were greeted and taken straight to a table. The food was incredible and had great vegetarian options. I got a butter chicken and I would say it is one of the best I have had in Wellington. The cheese and garlic Kulcha is the best I have had. It was full of flavour and light a fluffy. I would highly recommend Jugnus little India on Blair st.

The food was good and the staff very friendly. The service was pretty slow as they had a big party in and they're a bit short of staff but they made their apologies and we enjoyed the evening

We had 52 adults and 11 children at a family reunion held at Little India. The venue is just lovely with a very authentic atmosphere. The food was delicious and Jugnu and his team were very accommodating, bending over backwards to meet our requirements and make the whole event run smoothly. Everyone commented on what a great time they had there.

I walked past Indian alley which was closed on Mondays, then went to kerala carte which was closed for referb and settled for the new vegan menu at little India. INEDIBLE and disappointed doesn’t cover it, disgusting sour, fermented dal Makhani and everything else was cold with nothing seasoned. I rarely leave a review but I feel this was needed. Their Cuba street location wasn’t this bad but it’s been awhile since I’ve been there.

Not worth to pay $5 for half little container. I thought they have forgot to add that to my order. Did confirm on the call! Really not worth it. Very disappointed.

Little India has turned into one of my Wellington favourites! Service is always great but the real star of the show is food! The curry's never disappoint but my surprise favourite is the Tandoori Plater!
