Wonderful wellington restaurant with lots of local charm and food. We had the duck, venison and some seasonal seafood. Highly recommend.

First time here - based on recommendations from trip advisor, had to wait for a minute or so for a table but we expected that. We had the fish special a seafood chowder of sorts with mussels and clams in the shells with saffron and fennel broth - I absolutely loved it, my husband not so much. Service was excellent!... More

First visit. What a wonderful restaurant tucked between a concrete jungle. Lovely atmosphere and ambience. Waited about 15 minutes for a table and sat at the bar. Went here based on trip advisor reviews and were not disappointed. We walked in without a reservation and were graciously accommodated for a late lunch. Very busy bustling place on the small side, but elegant none the less. somewhat cramped. One of the favorites for our trip to New Zeeland. Best to make a reservation or at least call ahead.... More

Boulcott Bistro is a Wellington institution. A lovely historic house, so a small and intimate experience. The menu is great and the food delicious. The service is excellent. If you want a special lunch or dinner then you can't go wrong here.
