Basque is based on the eating and drinking style of Northern Spain with its streets of bustling tapas bars. We offer an array of non-veg, vegetarian, gluten free and some vegan on request mouthwatering tapas and homemade pizzas, which are designed to complement the range of 12 craft tap beers and ciders, (and another five taps on the rooftop bar), imported Spanish and local wines and our extensive sangria menu. Grab a carafe of sangria, plonk on the rooftop, and watch Courtenay Place pass by beneath you.
Been here a couple of times for drinks, love the upstairs rooftop. It's got heaters, blankets, even power sockets to charge your phone! Great atmosphere, well priced drinks, I guess I will have to come back and try the food some time soon.

No complaints but would not go back again

This is a place that can't do a brandy and dry - they think ginger beer = ginger ale ( maybe too many alcopops?).
And don't even bother asking for an old fashioned.
Poorly trained staff, poor drinks, and kinda Scungy.
I went to Basque with 3 friends and the food was excellent. We ordered about 8 or 9 dishes, including a meat platter and it came to $25 a head, very good value for what we got. The staff have clearly taken on board some...More
Had a working lunch at Basque a month ago. The food was great, but initially it seemed as if the place wasn't open. It took a while for us to be noticed - even though we were the ONLY guests in the restaurant. Three fatally...More
