Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a good cafe operation with great service and very good food. Unfortunately the coffee is trash, terrible, terrible coffee. It’s the most bland blend and would have to be the worst on the market.

We had not been here before which was a pity because anything about this Cafe was excellent. We both had the Chatham Islands Blue Cod plus salad, a bowl of chips, and coffees. The Blue Cod was cooked to perfection, salad very fresh, and excellent...coffee. From the moment we stepped inside the service was very good and that continued throughout the time we were there. The great service came from all the staff we encountered. For us, parking was no problem, we were almost immediately outside in Jessie St and did notice there was ample parking just around the corner in Tory St. We will definitely want to return and fairly soon.More

Loved this restaurant for lunch. Fun decor, good vibe and food was delicious. The seafood chowder served with crusty bread was so wonderful!

Bad coffee and vile pretentious food. Pavalone cheese on fruit toast with jam? Really? Who eats this stuff! Whatever happened to good ol' pancakes?

This is a lovely modern restaurant. The bacon and egg butties were absolutely delicious. Pet friendly so we could take our dog with us. Very friendly staff.

Looking for a chai latte? Sorry, only "old school" coffee here. Pancakes, french toast or eggs benedict? No Dice. This restaurant seems to focus on a more basic style of breakfast, focusing on their breads and fresh produce. I had a great focaccia toastie, and...my partner enjoyed their scrambled eggs (w/ salmon and halloumi added for an extra charge). The staff were friendly. The building itself was really nice. They allowed dogs inside (amazing!). Parking outside is limited so allow time to find a spot. Would visit again if I didn't want anything too fancy but did want a tasty filling meal.More

Prefab happens to be right outside of where I'm staying and I really like the restaurant. Casual yet classy. Breakfast is really good, so is lunch. Beware they close early and are not open on the weekends.

Since the reduction in menu the good stuff is gone. What's left is rather expensive, $13 for eggs but any add on is very expensive for example ($7 for some bacon making $20 for a simple bacon and eggs). As for coffee, this has gotten...smaller. A regular flat white is tiny and a large equals a small anywhere else. Also, what's with staff not wearing the required masks at orange level? Is this some sort of protest or an oversight?More
