Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

First time eating at Daisys. My wife and I enjoyed our meal. One thing that made our dining experience exceptional was the young woman who served us. She was absolutely fantastic with her communication. We need more people like her that epitomise what great service...should look like.More

Great choice just a short walk from the Bolton Street Cemetery. We really enjoyed the dinner and you can do BYO with corkage Don’t believe their online booking system - it shows as full - but the waitress said it’s set like that from 4...pm each day - they had plenty of space . Highly recommend - it was our best meal in Auckland and good value tooMore

This is a lovely restaurant, very pretty interior, and absolutely fantastic food. The beef rib on kimchi was amazing. We chose the chefs choice menu, and it was very reasonably priced for such great food.

We had a meal last night at Daisy’s, having eaten at their nearby sister restaurant Hillside Kitchen earlier this week. Both are very very good. We opted for the chef’s menu, whereby we shared a series of small plates - asparagus with mushrooms, marinated fish...in coconut milk, deep fried cauliflower ‘fritters’, then luscious beef rib served on kimchi, followed by strawberry pavlova and cheesecake desserts. Not too much food. Beautifully presented. Good choice of wines, reasonably priced. With 1 bottle of red, plus another half bottle, and the meal above for 3 people, cost was just short of $400 NZD. Highly recommended.More

The best "find" in Wellington - have been visiting for the past 20+ years and stumbled on this place - what a find! Delicious food - great service - just unlike anything we've come across and very reasonably priced. The service was simply wonderful. We...will be back!More

Have been dined few times. Always delicious, find and friendly. Lovely place to catch up with friends. パウア(鮑)や柔らかいホロホロのラムなどNew Zealand ならではのお料理を楽しみました。レストランが持っているガーデンファームの新鮮かつ無農薬で育てたお野菜を使ったお料理はどれも絶品です。

The staff were helpful without crowding us, and the food was tasty. We had ceviche and beef short rib starters, chickpea salad, chicken salad and mussel & clam pasta salad mains, and Basque cheesecake, mini pavlova and dark choc and hazelnut mousse desserts, and all...three courses were good. However, the ceviche was tasty *despite* having lots of chilli in it, and the carrots & kimchi that came in the beef short rib dish I found inedible because they were way too hot. This was tiresome because neither dish was listed on the menu as containing chilli and being hot. I prefer to be able to decide for myself whether I want a spicy hot dish and not be at the mercy of so many chefs who have built up very high spice tolerance and then think everyone else has the same tolerance as them and so put far more chilli in dishes than some people want, way more than is even helpful for setting off the flavour of the dish. I don't even understand why a dish like that beef short rib needs chilli oil on its vegetables, the beef was delicious and the inedible hot carrots just spoiled it. The issue of chefs putting chilli in unexpected dishes and not bothering to mention it on the menu is getting more and more prevalent, and they can do better than that.More

We waited an hour and a half for our mains. My burger was largely tasteless. My companions’ steak were good. My husband’s ceviche had not been marinated and he had diarrhea overnight presumably from the dish. Despite the delay in our mea arriving we felt...rushed to leave. The final straw was being told that we could not take the remains of our bottle of wine (which we had taken as BYO) with us due to the restaurant policy. We will not be returning.More

Went to celebrate a birthday. Food was great and quite unique. The quality of the food and and service was excellent. The focus was definitely more on quality of food than presentation and taking advantage of seasonal food.

I cannot believe there isn't a long queue outside Daisy's every night of the week. What a find on a cold, wet, Wellington Sunday evening! The food is simply outstanding, with all the fresh produce sourced from their own farm further up the Kapiti Coast....The meals are a fresh take on some classics - try their version of NZ onion dip and chippies - and some new and original ideas. We had the freshest fish I've tasted in a long time and a beautiful, melt-in-the-mouth piece of beef fillet. The service is welcoming and knowledgeable and we had a most delightful experience. We will certainly be back if, next time, we can get in as I fully expect this place to take off in a big way!More

Really good food, I got the chefs menu. The only thing that I'd like more would be getting several small plates as the main and dessert so I could try more.

Lovely place. Friendly and laid back. Intelligent person waiting at table. Loved the beef fillet and cheesecake. This was our second visit. Not so fond of the ‘frites’ served with the beef. They seemed to be from a frozen pack. Surprising given the quality of...the beef.More

Visited for the offal dinner as part of Wellington on a plate. The food was excellent. Head cheese, tongue, liver, bone marrow, all delicious. My favourite was the tripe - so soft and juicy but in crispy tempura to add a crunch. Well explained by...Ash the chef who made sure we knew what we were eating.More
