Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Amador is under new ownership and it shows. Our lunch of a Bagel and a Wrap were very tasty. The Emporio coffees were excellent and the quiet atmosphere was just what we needed after a busy shopping day. We will definitely be back to try...their famous cocktails which we have heard lots of good things about.More

We order cocktails at $20 each which were terrible in every way. As per pic! The actual bar was very nice and modern looking upstairs with views over the city business district and shopping area which lured us in. Would recommend visiting for anything but...the cocktails.More

Visited Amador last Thursday which we found after walking around Wellington Central (We are from Christchurch) Lovely small restaurant staff friendly. My husband had the steak sandwich which was very tender but the best thing was the Chicken, Coconut & Tumeric soup this was sooo...tasty :) (Have emailed direct and asked for recipe hopefully they will send) - W&WMore

My friend and I went for lunch on Friday 26 Feb. The menu unfortunately doesnt change and there is a very limited choice. My friend had the omelette and I had mushrooms on toast. They were both very nice however slightly more choice on the...menu would be good or maybe one special each week. We sat at a table that unfortunately looked straight into the disabled toilet; not a pleasant view when you are eating food. When we asked whether the sliding door could be closed they said no.More

Walking by after doing some shopping with the wife, we spied the terrace overlooking Willis St. Nice place. Felt like more of a local's joint which was fine with us. We were able to get couple of seats at the rail and enjoy a round...of drinks. Very much enjoyed Amador as I think most would ...More

Just above Tommy Millions at Press Hall, Amador is a nice getaway from the bustle of Willis Street. They have a tasty brunch complemented by coffees and a few good beers. Love their huge balcony on those not-so-windy days. Staff are nice. I keep coming...back.More

I was nearby, so I dropped in here for lunch on a Saturday. The place was quiet and we took a table on the balcony (a risk for Wellington, it was breezy but not unbearable). The lunch menu was mostly egg dishes. I chose the...Veggie Breakfast and my companion had the Omelette. The waiter was responsive and professional. My meal was very nice - tasty and generous, so was the omelette. It was a very pleasant lunch, I’d come back here. Thank you.More

Great spot, good feel, well located with away from it feeling while still having views out to what is going on and nice little indoor patio areas. Professional service and responsive staff. And great quality food with very reasonable prices for inner Wellington.

In Wellington 2 days before Christmas we stumbled upon this little bar/restaurant on Willis St. We all enjoyed our meals but you need to have time as there is only one person cooking so there's a bit of a wait. As the place filled up...the noise became louder than we were comfortable with but otherwise a pretty good place for casual dining.More

A stunning spot for a light meal and drink. The big breakfast is delicious and I can really recommend the yum yum beer. Service was outstanding, I look forward to stopping in again.

It has a pleasant balcony to sit and watch the world go by. Top that with a great priced lunch menu and good tap beer and its a sure winner. Would love to have a spot like this at home. Id be there every week.
