Customer service and food quality really gone down hill since it has been sold. A shame as used to be an awesome little stop.

I live in Hawke’s Bay and a friend in the UK wanted me to find someone to deliver a surprise birthday cake to her friend who was stuck in NZ because of the covid 19 pandemic. I contacted all cake makers in the area but...none could help as she lived out on the peninsula, until I found these guys. Mike and his wife were just brilliant and made a fancy chocolate birthday cake, even bought a birthday card and wrote my friends message in it before delivering it on her birthday . It was so appreciated and the birthday girl videoed her friend in the UK with chocolate smeared round her face. Thank you so much for going above and beyond to help!More

The pies pastry isn't flaky anymore and it looks yellow like you get in a lot of bakery's now (this is why we went there as it use to have the old fashion recipes!) Also the the bacon and egg roll, had a little bit...and it was ham, not bacon. The shop layout is good but what a shame they are changing the recipes :-( Lots of people are commenting about how the quality has gone down.More

This bakery used to be great but now it has been taken over the apple pies have a thick pastry and little filling and the lollie cake is more a biscuit cake as it has very few lollies in it now. Standard as sadly dropped.

I had a mince pie with potato topping. Absolutely perfect. Also had a "health slice" with nuts and grains. My favorite dessert. The flat white was excellent. Service is great. Takeaway only. Highly recommended.

Popped in again the other day, no round donuts left in cabinet but the very helpful lady offered to get some from out the back and cream and jam them. The whipped cream is ALWAYS the real mcCoy - fresh as. The donuts are ALWAYS...round, plump and just made that morning. Sooo scrummy like you wouldn't believe. Have been calling in here for years and the standard has never wavered. DeniseMore

I'm addicted to Bakers of Bethlehem's stunningly great friendly & prompt service, deliciously mouthwatering food items, and clean, bright, airy premises!! This bakery is great - may have no seating options & be small but who cares?!! Been visiting here for years & eaten far...too much of their yummy food 😋More

This wee little (but very busy) takeout-only bakery is great.....far better than other places that claim to win awards. I love the mince pie with potato top. I also get the health slice for dessert and a large flat white. Cannot rave enough about the...quality of the food here and the great service.More

Bakers of Bethlehem are the best! The potato topped pie is the best we have ever had, my Dad will not go past this bakery without buying one. The selection of pies, cakes and rolls is extensive, all the items are produced by the wonderful...staff and are always fresh. I have never had a dud from this bakery and will recommend it to everyone. My personal fav is the custard square, yum! The lovely ladies behind the counter are soooo very helpful and polite. Nothing is too much bother even if the cue is out the door ( a regular occurrence). My advice is get there early for lunch or you will miss out, the rolls just disappear as quick as a flash.More

Calling it a restaurant isn't right as it is simply a bakery and takeaway. Baked on the premises with oodles of choice, friendly staff and situated right on the highway. Opens very early so good for getting breakfast food. Great range of pies and a...good choice of cakes. The passionfruit cream donuts are to die for. Healthy choice of wraps too. Call in, you won't be disappointed.More
