Over the last year we have been eating at Momo for weekend lunches . we are always warmly welcomed. Their $16 lunch special is awesome and a real treat to be cooked in front of us, Teppan-Yaki style. We thought we would take the family...out for Christmas Lunch this year. Everyone really enjoyed it!! Plenty of tasty food. Great attentive service from Shelley and Michelle, and chef Tony has the timing of cooking/preparing the food down to a 'fine art'. A treat to watch. Recently in the last year they have become our new regular hot spot for dinner for my friends and I. They always welcome you with a warm embrace just like you're a part of their family. They're food is is cooked by their fabulous chef...Tony which is also fast entertaining and tastes exceptional meanwhile their other staff Shelley and Michelle control the floor constantly checking on you and are always there for any needs/wants you might have (also always topping up my water and sake) which I think is great!) But after having Christmas Dinner tonight... They really raised the bar for food and customer service expectations! From a friendly demeanour and humbling attitude, they were absolutely on fire tonight! I will absolutely be returning to their resturaunt in the new year and throughout 2020!More

I was travelling alone and wanted to treat myself to a good meal. After some research and found that place with high reviews. My disappointments were: 1. The chef did not perform as a teppanyaki chef usually would. It was my first time to see...a chef just dish out straight into a plate and serve. 2. The food was basically cooked in soy sauce. I was disappointed as the fresh NZ produce was buried in the soy sauce taste. They emphasised so much about the yum-yum sauce that I thought it was made of mayonnaise and heaps of sugar. I had to scrape it off my prawns to avoid it spoiling the taste. I must say that they had super friendly staff. The could be a compensate for the so-so food.More
