Went with friends, found a table upstairs and ordered food. We all had wood fired pizzas and shared starters. Drinks came along and a really nice night catching up with friends. Staff were great and attentive. Food sensibly priced but felt drinks were a bit pricey but good range. Stated till the end and not forced out of the door.

Great view of the Harbour

The balcony looks directly over Tauranga harbor. We shared three small plates that were very tasty as well as being good sized portions. Great selection of drinks as well make this a perfect location for a meal or simply soaking up the view with a quiet drink.

Good lunch

Stopped in for a quick lunch prior to another engagement. Service by staff was friendly quick and chatty. Food was tasty, hot, well presented and a fairly good size and well worth the money. Great view out over the harbour from upstairs where we dinned.

Worst experience ever!

Date of incident: 18/01/2020 I had rung and booked a table for my best friends hens party and informed them that that was the occasion and also informed them that we would only be there for drinks and not food which they were absolutely fine with due to us consuming food all throughout the day. On arrival the staff were extremely rude, and whilst waiting for our first round of drinks to arrive the manager said we would have to leave if we were not buying food. I was shocked by this comment and told him that his staff member said it was fine over the phone when I had booked the table a couple weeks earlier. Because of this we left after our first round of drinks and when I asked a staff member where that same manager was so I could speak to him he was not there. We then shortly after leaving walked past another bar and saw that manager getting on the piss with a couple of mates. Apparently this manager of theirs has had multiple complaints and was informed by the lovely staff member who was a kind young female that because of this she would be taking it straight to the owner. Absolutely disgusting behaviour and they lost out on a few hundred dollars from us that night. We were there to celebrate my friend getting married and we were outside on the deck away from everyone and we kept to ourselves and caused no disturbance. We left and went a few places down the street where we were happily welcomed. Will not be returning to this place and I will be spreading the message as I am local because of the negative effect it had on our night.

Hi Shyniess Unfortunately quite a lot of information has been left out from this review. The reason you and your friends were asked to leave was due to you being intoxicated when you arrived. The manager noticed 4 girls stumbling up the stairs on arrival therefore refused service according to the Liquor Act 2012. We also had 2 tables leave after your arrival due the the noise you were making. The tables that left mentioned to us that they were going to stay for dessert but decided not to as they felt uncomfortable. On top of this you played loud music on your phones and tried to engage in drinking games. At Brooklyn we often have hens parties and large group gatherings and have not has issues in the past. Before writing a review please ensure to explain the entire story for your readers. Regards

Brilliant pizzas

This restaurant makes amazing pizzas and also serves other excellent meals as well such as pork belly sliders and fish dishes. Everyone in our group loved the food and thought the service was very good. But I found it hard to sit on bar stools for over an hour - resulting in a sore rear and sore back. Also the radiant heater made it too hot in some places and cold in others - would have been better to have fan assisted heating such as a heat pump. Our large group was unable to talk with each other over the loud music and we all ended up with hoarse voices by evening's end due to shouting. This restaurant has no ambience whatsoever.

Hi rosemaryjmarriott Thanks for your feedback. We will take this on board. For future bookings we recommend sitting upstairs if you'd prefer more of a restaurant atmosphere. Although we offer the full menu downstairs it is definitely more of a bar atmosphere hence why we have bar stools etc. Regards Rohan

Nice place for a casual dinner

Had a nice dinner at the Brooklyn Patio - the food, drinks, service and food was great. We had the mushroom & spinach potato gnocchi, crispy chicken, fried cajun potato wings and pork belly sliders. You can seat upstairs and have a nice view of the harbour too.

Best lunch salad I’ve ever had

My family came for lunch and had some of the best salads we’ve ever had. Alongside some really chill music, a great selection of drinks (I loved the craft beers) and a great view and ambiance on the top floor, it was a great visit that we’d definitely make again. Highly recommend.

Alright food, below average service.

We were a group of 8. Cocktails were good. Pizza on the salty side if you like that. The service was crap. Our waiter didn’t seem interested in his job.. got our pizza order wrong twice. The manager gave us the pizza for free In the end which is nice and the third pizza came out correct. Third times the charm? However, the experience killed our mood and we wanted to just go home. Was really the service that let the place down.

Fabulous place for a staff get together

Gathered together with our staff to farewell two of our girls. Food was wonderful, service was quick and the waitresses were funny and very helpful. Sat upstairs on a very cold winters night and it was cosy and comfortable. Was so nice to see the pizza oven cooking our delicious pizzas. Will definitely come again.

A great place for dinner

After months of saying we should try this place, we finally did and were not disappointed! The food was all fantastic, especially the fresh fish ceviche. The staff were great and the views from upstairs are sure to impress. We're already planning our next visit here! Thanks Brooklyn Patio team! 😁

Not what i expected

Service poor and slow 1 hour for drinks to arrive. Yes we did get water immediately. Pizza toppings almost non existent, outside tables covered in bird poo not good enough

Great Pizza

Lunch with a view
