The outdoor patio surrounded by lovely gardens was a wonderful setting on a summer evening. The service was excellent, and the food very good. Although there are other good restaurants in Taupo, this one won for overall experience.
What a lovely restaurant. EVERY course was delicious - especially loved the flavours of the curry prawn entree!! Perfectly cooked eye fillet. Had a fantastic waitress. Tables are nicely spaced out. Lovely ambiance. TOTALLY recommend.
The Brantry ticks the boxes. A lovely looking restaurant with a charming outside area. Great and highly attentive service. Excellent and well thought out wine list. Fabulous food. Cost with good wine was $100 a head.

I personally would not take smaller children there - more of an adult fine dining experience. Although there were children in the restaurant when we were there aged i think 6 & 8 and they ate from the standard menu.
