I stumbled upon this gem of a cafe- what a find! There was a long line of people, waiting to be served, so clearly this is a popular place- not even mentioned on Trip Advisor. I was served efficiently, found a spot to sit. The coffee and food came out very quickly and was delicious. This became my "go to" Cafe over the weekend and I wasn't disappointed. I also bought some succulents in a beautiful bowl, as a gift for our daughter, at the adjoining store. The shop assistant went to some trouble to package the bowl in a box, with hessian fill, to protect it from damage for our trip to the Wairarapa. I really appreciated her thoughtfulness and going the extra mile 🙌

Sometimes we come to Taupo and try other places to eat, but we always regret it when we don't come here. This place is amazing in so many ways - service, smile, speed, tasty food, variety of food, presentation, helpfulness, atmosphere, location. Keep it up Replete crew - you're doing an EXCELLENT job.

We visited Taupo in October 2020 and tried several of the Cafes, This has the most tasty food and it's the best value cafe in our opinion. Everything was yummy, Tea coffee and food. The vegetable lasagne was really nice (even my husband liked it)

I asked this cafe for a breakfast recommendation and said I was pescatarion. The man brought me it out with prosciutto. I nicely said if he could return it - and thought to save problems just take the meat off and replace it with something. However all they did was take the meat off and bring it back. That service was bugging me because I felt ripped off and uncared about. I called out to a lady waitress and explained and said that I wanted a replacement for the fact it now contained no meat etc.
Umm so I get a small egg and that's it. I laughed because I really was thinking the service was so bad and the cost of meat Vs a piddley egg didn't add up - the lady looked at me as if to say 'what?'
I'll never go back there again it was so annoying but I was trying to not let it spoil my holiday. Ripped off for being nice!

I went there with my kid. Regular size coffee served as a small size and pancake was so bad dish. Worst service, worst foods, Worst place for breakfast i have ever had. We are still hungry.

We always go to this cafe for breakfast/lunch and so this trip to Taupo was no exception. I had the Moroccan Lamb salad which was delicious. If I had one comment/recommendation would be that it not be kept in the fridge already made as the whole salad was really too cold. My mother had the Kiwi Ruben which was tasty but just too small and flat in size when you have had many Rubens in the USA. The coffee was good (one of the few places that make an extra hot coffee when asked) There is a nice array of sweets to choose from to finish lunch off. There is a nice gift shop with all things related to food/cooking however I did wonder why they are selling suitcases also. I don't think they need to- it detracts from what they do. Always a pleasing place to go though with fair prices.

We haven’t been to Taupo for a while, and Replete was always a go to for us. We thought that things may have changed, so looked up trip advisor to find Replete at #4 on the list of best breakfasts in Taupo. Willing to give other places a look in, a quick scan of the most recent reviews showed only Replete to have all 5 star reviews in the last couple of months, so we thought we’d go with popular opinion and head to Replete. It didn’t disappoint. Breakfast was superb, the coffee excellent, the service stellar. Replete deserves to be #1 on the trip advisor list. That they’ve been this good for so long is just exceptional.

We visited today amid the covid19 crisis. We are determined to keep supporting local businesses like cafes, but expect to see greater precautions. Most other cafes we have visited are taking obvious steps to provide assurances to customers they are uping their disinfectanting steps. Replete had no visible hand sanitiser and the tables were being wiped like it was any other day of the year. The worst part, which I raised with them, was the person behind the counter with black disposable gloves. She used her gloved hands directly to pick up the food and then went straight to handling money. Money is grubby as hell. That wouldn't be hygienic under normal circumstances. When I raised it with the person who served me, she looked annoyed that I said anything. I watched while I had my coffee and nothing changed, she was busy using the same gloves. Sorry Replete cafe but you need to do better to demonstrate more care with hygiene if you want people to keep coming to your premises.

Arrived in Taupo for a couple of days and we were in need of a snack. As we walked through the town we came across this busy little cafe. It’s more than a cafe but easier to stick with that.
It wasn’t much after 12 but the place was busy, inside and out. I opted for a portion of kedgeree and my wife, a roasted veg focaccia with a berry smoothie.
The food came within a very reasonable amount of time during a busy period and was hot and really tasty.
There is a large variety both on the menu board and in the chilled display.
I’d recommend this ‘cafe’ and also suggest you wander around the little shop that’s within the same building.

Enjoyed coffee (long blacks) with a shared carrot cake sitting outside in the fresh air on Saturday afternoon. The coffee was excellent and we will definitely be back again soon for another one. Friendly prompt service.

3 of us stopped here for brunch. Bacon, poached eggs and a side of mushrooms with toasted focaccia bread. Yum.
What was interesting is that with the sides on offer you could make up your own style of breakfast/brunch.
I usually like Eggs Benedict, and they offered hollandaise sauce as a side.
The 3 of us enjoyed our brunch.
The only thing I was not happy about was I ordered an extra hot flat white, and it was not.

I got mince on toast, my partner got the big breakfast. Both very pleased with our meals. Mince was delicious and I was pleased eggs were an optional add on as they are usually included and I prefer no eggs. Good price. Nice outside area. Rocket Fuel sauce on the table.

A centrally located Cafe, very good service, attentive staff. Cabinet food has wide and varies selections. Holiday season and a busy Cafe.
I chose a favorite, 'Mince on Vogels', Poached Eggs and Bacon plus Long Black Coffee. My Partner had Pancakes, which were enjoyed!
A Great spot to visit!

We scheduled our roadie so that we could call into Replete for breakfast. Still a very good call. The cabinet is packed with tempting options and the menu remains varied, seasonal and appetising. It's been great for years, and still is.

Visited this place again. We liked the food as usual, and it seemed that everybody else did. It was very busy and we did not wait for too long. The service was great, and lots of happy customers around. The only thing that I thought I need to mention is if you are very hungry and have huge appetite, I`m not sure if the BIG BREAKFAST will be enough.
