The restaurant / bar was very busy but it appeared very under staffed. Waited 30 minutes for a drinks order to arrive. Ordered more drinks and they still did not arrive after finishing food so I asked to cancel the order and they told me...they forgot my order (unprofessional). The food was delicious though! Maybe more staff would have made the experience betterMore

We waited over 30minutes for the waiter to take our drinks order. Waited over 20minutes for the drinks to arrive then a further 40minutes for the food. It was busy but they appeared to be understaffed. When the meals finally arrived the meals were wrong....Our waiter dealt with this poorly. This was supposed to be a highlight of our trip to Taupo and we were very disappointed and don’t feel that we had the experience that we should have. The management needs to address these issues.More

We waited 40 mins for our drinks - which was an indication of the rest of the evening… the meal came eventually and was bland. Shocking service and below average food.

Visited for dinner on a Friday night - had a 6pm booking. We were shown to our table promptly and asked what water we wanted and advised our waiter would be with us shortly. 15 minutes later no water and no waiter! As locals we...visit occasionally for lunch and service and tapas have been excellent. We ordered mains for a change and left wishing we had ordered tapas. Both the chicken and lamb dishes were just very average in flavour and to be honest we were disappointed. We asked for more water when our meals were delivered and 10 minutes later still no water! The serving sizes were good but lacked flavour and did not live up to the description on the menu. Will not hurry back for dinner.More

Vine is a Must Do when you are in Taupo, just make sure the Chef is not from the B Team. Medium Rare is not the same as Medium Well. Especially when it is a Fillet Mignon. When you ask for No Micro Greens, and...no Kumara Puree and just Steak, Bacon, French Fries and Jus, don't you think you are just going to get WHAT YOU ASKED FOR. No you don't, but why spoil the Wife's Night. Suck it up Buttercup, the Chef has an "I know better than You" attitude and has to impose HIS WILL on your Order. Why did I give this a 4 out of 5. The Wife got her meal perfectly served and perfectly cooked. Happy wife, Happy Life, hence a 4 out of 5 Rating. I will just tell her I prefer to go to Plateau next time we are in Taupo.More

The restaurant was fully booked but was able to get a bar table with the full menu. Such a comprehensive menu that we struggled to choose. Was it to be small plates to share or individual choices. I was desperate to try the scallop and...chorizo risotto, so my partner had the duck. Both were exquisite. Huge range of wine to choose from. Had to have one of their spectacular desserts, a chilled soufflé for me and a chocolate fondant for him. Obviously a popular place for locals, so we will be sure to book next timeMore

My daughter and I visited again and sat outside on a beautiful evening in Taupo. Tried several cocktails and had a selection of Tapas which were all unique and very tasty. Service was brilliant and they were all very friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was awesome....A great evening, definitely will go again and highly recommend.More

It doesn’t look that big on the outside but it is wonderful. Anita was our waitress and she was delightful, friendly and efficient. I had the pork fillet and my husband had the eye fillet steak. Both were cooked to perfection and very tasty. We...started with focaccia bread and ended with the brûlée, which we shared. We couldn’t have asked for a better meal. The interior is impressive, the light chandeliers are worth a view - one made out of wine glasses and one from bottles.More
