I stopped by this cafe with my family en route to Napier and after a 3 hour car ride on a stunning day it was a nice cool cafe to relax and have lunch. I was highly impressed with the service/food and staff the quotes on the wall are fun to read. I ordered the body fuel all brunch and everything was divine the food was hot and delicious and everything was perfectly cooked, with ice cold water by the bottle we were hydrated and very satisfied with everything. I would give Bodyfuel a 5/5 and highly recommend stopping by.

There were 7 of us for breakfast, with the majority having been here over the preceding 3 days. The boss and I ordered mushrooms on toast which also came with avocado, bacon and halloumi cheese. As with our previous experiences here, the food was magnificent, well presented and very tasty, although a tad salty.
Coffee and chai were delicious as always.
Staff were generally very good but again, more smiles wouldn't go amiss.
One thing I did notice with their cabinet food (which looked yummy, but the way) was the lack of pricing shown. This could be off-putting to some people and could be easily remedied.
Really good café overall.

Best Cafe in New Zealand. I’m quite fussy as I have a beef intolerance, I haven’t been able to eat any of the sausage rolls in this country as they never tell you what kind of meat.
This cafe has clear labels so you know exactly what kind of meat you are getting, there are loads of different options available.
Coffee was brilliant (always a hit or miss since being here). 10/10 goood coffee!
Lovely atmosphere, cool decor, really clean and great service.

Early breakfast for darling and me on Taupo retreat. Went to Bodyfuel of previous year experience and TA reviews. Coconut flat white hot and strong. We sort of shared (I got one bite) a melting moment while we waited for our mains meals. Part of the “always eat dessert first” philosophy. I ordered creamy mushrooms. Bread lovely. Generous serve of mushrooms but quite bland. At least there were salt and pepper on the table to season it up. Darling had the pancakes. They were totally uninspired. Three offerings the size of large pikelets and dry enough that they might even have been reheated. 4/10. A berry compote or similar would make a big difference. Lack of thought will have us not return again. There is plenty of competition in Taupo. Try The Spoon and Paddle. ❤️👮‍♂️

Many were closed on Christmas Day but this was the first restaurant we came across in Taupo at lunchtime that was open. We ate a very nice and well-filled salad with beautiful pieces of chicken on the terrace outside. Recommended.

Came here for breakfast based on reviews and the food was amazing!
I got bacon and eggs on toast and it was really good. eggs were scrambled and hot and toast was not burnt! something I have regularly in other establishments. good coating of butter and bacon was perfect.

Eggs bene with salmon was next level eggs were nice and runny the way my wife loves them and she has worked in cafes 16 years+

she did mention the coffee was average. slightly bitter. drinkable but not good. 5/10
Fast food , great staff backed with amazing food we're definitely rating body fuel worthy of a visit. we will be back!

So many delicious gluten free options with a great understanding of Coeliac disease. We came twice a day for two days while we were stopping through as it was so good. Also fantastic coffee and excellent service.

if you want to taste something made with love and technique this is the place to do.
We had a brunch here and it was excellent.
Coffee, food all was a the highest standards.
It is spartan in the look so maybe that could be improved a little (try a trip to the toilet to understand what I mean). In any case food/drinks is excellent. Well done.

I had the porridge and my husband had scrambled eggs and bacon with flat whites. Both meals were delish and the coffee was outstanding. Service was excellent and staff really friendly. Highly recommend!
