Charming store with “mum” who is the talker and daughter who is working away on the delicious treats. Coffee Addict wife had at least a dozen coffees over 5 days. Sausage rolls are yum. Cakes delicious

A little off Rotorua's beaten track but the food is to die for. Grab some sweet treats to replace all that energy you burn seeing the sights of Rotorua.

Finally went to this place with my wife - been meaning to visit for some time as it’s just down the road, we definitely missed out on a amazing local treat and have now been missing MofC while they’ve been closed during the Xmas break....I had to try the award winning sausage rolls and wasn’t disappointed - even better their loyalty card is for the Sausage Rolls (I don’t drink coffee so now I have something to stamp). My wife had coffee and an amazing cinnamon roll that I help her to eat - next time I’ll get one for myself.More

Lovely ladies and fabulous cakes and goodies! They also do catering when you're stuffed and dont want to cook. SOme foods are a bit fattening so watch out!

Had heard about the award winning sausage rolls, so had to try whilst visiting Rotorua! They did not disappoint, full of meatiness and flavour. Was a lovely visit.

On Friday I was lucky enough to visit the Mistress of Cakes on the day they won NZ's Best Sausage Roll for 2018! Well seasoned meat on the inside, crispy pastry on the outside - they really are the best.

A great find thanks to lonely planet. Cakes are absolutely delicious and the owner was very friendly. A great stop before or after the redwood treewalk.

Fab recommendation for a cake indulgent sugar hit before walking through the Redwood Forest and surrounding tracks nearby. You will find it difficult to resist leaving with a bag full of sweet treats. It is a family run business and they are full of love...and passion for what they do - we could see this just from the short stop we made for coffee and cake. My raspberry and white chocolate muffin was superb and the cinnamon bun my partner had could be the best ever. They have savoury treats too. We also noticed someone having a consultation for a wedding cake and others picking up special orders - if only this place was on the corner of my road (that could be dangerous though!).More

Let me sum this up in five words- THE BEST CINNAMON ROLL EVER!! This family shop offers the most delectable cakes I have ver seen, I was droooling at the cabinet deciding what to choose- how I wish I discovered this sooner! The owner of...the shop works in the bakery kitchen and we could see her smiling whilst at work and her passion is reflected in her produce! I must mention the owners mother who serves us and made our coffee; a delightful woman who spoke to us, and seemed generally interested and made us feel at home. Thank you! Keep up with your passion- all cinnamon rolls will be judged against yours!!!More

Thank you so much for your lovely words! As bad as we feel for the rest of the cinnamon rolls of the world, we are so glad you liked ours so much that they have become your benchmark! If you're ever back in Rotorua and...More
