This place is really great. They are open till late, all other restaurants in the town get closed early. Food is really awesome, you will find authentic Indian taste. Punjabi, Indo-Chinese, and South Indian food taste awesome, Indian sweets are freshly made. I highly recommend to everyone to try this place.

I have been here two times so far and their food is really good. I love that they serve different kinds of chaat and dosas. Their lunch deals are also very nice! Definitely recommend going here for some tasty food. If you don't know what to order, make sure to ask the staff, they are very helpful and friendly. Thank you and I will definitely be back :-)

Super friendly staff. An awesome array of international Asian vegetarian dishes. The naan bread, mango lassi and Indian curry was 10+. We eat at a lot of Indian restaurants and this one was right up there with flavour and taste. So inexpensive too. You won’t be disappointed. Fantastic food.

We ordered a bailwag thali and a South Indian platter and couldn’t believe the huge portions of goodness we received. Awesome food, just the right amount of spice and despite trying our best we couldn’t finish it (and we‘re good eaters). We definitely come back!

Very clean and variety of dishes at reasonable prices. This is a pure vegetarian restaurant, which is ideal for all vegetarians.
The service is excellent. I recommend this restaurant to everyone looking for authentic Indian food which is purely vegetarian.

Huge choice of authentic Indian dishes from both north and south India. Very tasty food and very reasonable prices. We had two different thalis so we enjoyed a wide range of dishes with different breads as well, one had roti and the other had puri - yum! We would love to return and have chats and dosas.

Great food at great prices with really nice service. A lot of variety and lots of vegan options for my dairy-free wife. Lots of free extras on the side meant heat of dishes could be intensified or not according to ones taste. Will definitely be back

Absolutely the best restaurant for freshness of food, for variety of food, and the most friendly helpful waiter (who incidentally does all the food prep first thing in the morning). He serves with a smile and is so helpful and all within a financially stretched budget's capability. The Manchurian vegetable balls in gravy a gastronomical delight...as is the indo-chinese noodle soup. The sweets are to die for as well.

Hi guys - be very careful before eating here. Don’t be fooled. Without cleanliness I doubt your food is hygienic.
As a New Zealander of Indian descent I sometimes like to support Indian restaurants. A foodie I’ve eaten and reviewed many places.
This restaurant lacks in hygiene standard. For instance when asked for a fork the restaurant manager ignored us for sometime and when asked again took a fork with his hands that a moment prior was cleaning a dirty table (sans gloves). When I said I was happy to get the knife and fork holder to grab a new fork he pulled it from me and took another fork wiped it with his hand and handed it to me.
The food was also poor quality lacking in the way healthy Indian food is prepared.
The waiter was not polite, the food was not prepared as it was requested.
Toilets were dirty.
If godliness is next to cleanliness then no amount of god photos in there can please the god of food.
The guy also seemed chauvinistic, unhelpful and pretended he didn’t know English.
Don’t go there. I would encourage the food inspectors to visit.
I truly wish i had taken a video but one does not expect lower than low quality when we go in.

Vegetarian food at its best. My husband and I were hungry and the menu had so many great options that we ordered a multitude of dishes. Turns out the servings were generous, so we had plenty of yummy leftovers the next day. Even served cold the food was delicious!
Ingredients were good quality and everything had a nice heat to it. Food was made quickly too.
If I lived in Rotorua BailwalG would be my go-to restaurant.

What a great find! When I studied the menu before booking I was very impressed by the variety of dishes, with the highlight of Indian Street Foot/ Chat, which is very unusual on a menu. So that was the draw card to try this restaurant.
We ordered the Chat Platter, which was already filling, so we could not manage much more, but we decided on Cheese Naan with fresh garlic and Okra Tomato semi dry curry! Wow, every mouthful was a highlight!
Great cooking, friendly service. Ambience feels however a bit like a fast food chain restaurant.

A terrific place. We were attracted in by the 'pure vegetarian' signage then were dumfounded by the range of choice on the menu. The waiter was friendly and informative and a pleasure to speak with. I ordered a favorite dish and it was my best one yet. Partner loved her order and could only manage half of it with the rest wrapped to take home. The corn tikki aloo (a starter) is to die for. A terrific place..

Thoroughly recommend..
How lucky is Rotorua with this sensational, traditional Indian vegetarian restaurant.
We stopped in for a lunch and ordered a masala dosa, masala chai and also an aloo (potato) puri.
All three items were such clean flavours and absolutely delicious.
Such a pity that I do not have Bailwal G restaurant close to where we live in Melbourne Australia!

I’ve lived in Rotorua for over ten years and have always bypassed this place. Not anymore! Had the Punjabi Thali and that was absolutely delicious, great heat level too and a massive amount of food for such a small price. Will definitely be back!

This place was incredible - such a huge range of choices, we got too excited and over-ordered massively but ended up finishing everything anyway as the food was just so good. And the staff there were unfailingly lovely the whole time. Thank you!
