Saigon '60s - Rotorua's most authentic Vietnamese food, offers a large range of Pho noodle soups and Vietnamese coffee. 11am to 9pm, 7days a week. Casual dining or takeaway, lunch or dinner. All dietary requirements.
Went there both lunch and dinner. Pancake and avocado smoothie are very good,
Pancake is very great with crispy case, great quantity in affordable price. Avocado smoothie is one of the best smoothie I have ever had.
Definitely recommend to try both.
Went here for dinner two nights in a row. Nothing fancy, just your basic pay-at-the-counter-and-grab-a-seat arrangement. But the food is amazing! Huge portions of authentic Vietnamese dishes, nicely seasoned. Great quality food for a decent prixe. Seems to be a favourite with the local Vietnamese...community.More
It's more of 3.5 stars but it was a pleasant surprised. I never had any good experience having Vietnamese food in Auckland. So, we came on two consecutive days, but I wouldn't recommend the chicken spring roll though.
I felt really surprised how could a...restaurant operate without a toilet?More
Loved this place. Stopped in for lunch and had a very tasty and well prepared Vietnamese Pancake and traditional Egg Coffee. The atmosphere is cozy and pleasant. Definitely a go-to place when you are in Rotorua.
No, the food was disappointing. Sure, very friendly smiling service, but the rice on my wife’s dish was less than luke warm, whereas the pork slices were not warm either. After sending it back the dish was still not warmed through, a deadly sin in...the restaurant business.
Instead of my ordered udon noodles with seafood, I got an udon soup, although with noodles in it and seafood, but not the dish I had ordered. After that mistake then finally had been rectified, I got a few minutes later my appetiser, which was supposed to be served before the main dish....
Was it busy (which is no excuse)? No, only 3 tables.
Farida and I stopped here from something warm after soaking at Hell’s Gate. I ordered the seafood noodle soup and Farida got the chicken pho. The seafood soup was excellent very spicy as I like it and filled with tasty treats. The pho was well...prepared and not spiced but we fixed that. Great place for a casual meal anytime.More
We ordered from the take away menu from the restaurant. The prices on the take away flyer are not the real prices. Very disappointing with almost 20% increase on the noodles (now are $20, pretty high for a take away)
Food was ok, but not...good enough to come back.More
